Via this WHT offer. Host90 claims to be a “world-wide leader” in web hosting, based in Scranton with an office in Cyprus, according to their about us page. Their low end package, Baby VPS starts at $4.99/month. The spec:
- 128MB guaranteed/256MB burstable
- 10GB storage
- 50GB/month data transfer
- OpenVZ
Well. Scranton company, world class leader — it just all sounds too suss to me, especially when the whole blob is copied from Burst.NET’s company page, with some numbers changed. Leader in shared, VPS and dedicated hosting? Then how come only VPS are available for ordering on their website? The admin/technical contact’s email address in WHOIS is on a non-existing domain?
The package looks passable, but the “company” looks questionable.

Atleast their owner is a pretty face, according to homepage.
@mina — that’s a pretty subjective call, and I am sure some low end providers would disagree with you :)
http://amaroks.com (mody@amaroks.com) exists, can’t find any nonexistant domain?
Are you look at what I am looking at?
And according to DomainTools that email address is associated with at least 12 other domains.
