HostHatch Inc, a registered company in Tampa, Florida, have been featured once before on LowEndBox, back in May 2011 when they were offering a $6 128MB OpenVZ VPS in Netherlands. Things have changed a bit since then, they’re no longer with EvoSwitch in the Netherlands and now also provide OnApp/Xen services in Utah, USA. The benefits, and a list of features, of OnApp, for those who are interested, can be found here. Both plans come with a generous amount of Bandwidth, which not many providers can offer at this price point. Abdullah informs us that stock is very limited with only 30 VPS and 15 cloud server plans available. Each VPS and ‘cloud server’ comes with 2 free Comodo SSL certificates and a free anycast DNS for up to 100 domains. The offer is exclusive to LowEndBox and will expire on Friday.

VPS are strictly unmanaged and no support, except for hardware and network issues, is provided. They provide a 7-day money back guarantee but only if the problem is on their side (downtime, etc) and not a personal reason like “I found a better deal somewhere else” etc. HostHatch accept PayPal, Credit Cards, Payza (on request), and bank transfers (on request). For more information, you may want to read their Terms of Service, Acceptable Usage Policy or Privacy Policy.

The Utah location seems to near or at the same data center as VPS.net – so I would say this deal is like getting a virtual server from vps.net for about 14.00 bucks less per month(i guess bandwidth is double on vps.net though).

I am tempted to get one, but I think I am at my personal internal quota for virtual machines at the moment :)

    • Dano,

These servers are indeed located in the same datacenter. I am sure if you do decide to get one, you will not be disappointed. :)

I found no mention of Torrents in your tos, what is your position on them?

    November 26, 2012 @ 7:33 pm | Reply
    • We don’t have any issues with torrents, as long as they are in limits and not abusing CPU / IO all the time.

I’ll be happy to answer anymore questions that you may have.

Noticed a generic protection against sharing copyrighted works in your tos so I’ll be “that” guy who asks the obvious… legal torrents only?

        November 27, 2012 @ 7:36 am | Reply
        • Correct. We are not looking for abusive users and provide a certain level of performance and uptime to all our clients.

  5. Hosting company ran out of the company president’s Choy Chan’s Chinese restaurant?

    Pass

    • I’m sorry but first of all – that is not a Chinese restaurant. It is a supermarket. And secondly, we are not Amazon and do not afford office space in a tall shiny building. If you are looking for that, you know where to go (Rackspace, Amazon etc).

      Best of luck!

  6. Hi,

Stock is selling pretty fast. Thanks LEB, and we will bring more deals here in future! :)

Just a few things I would like you all to know:

    1) We have IPv6 coming in our Netherlands location in a few days (no ETA yet)
    2) We have IPv6 ranges in on our OnApp Cloud in our Utah (US) location. It will be available in this week, before Sunday.
    3) Please, please do not run constant benchmarks on your VPS. This affects all users’ performance. We made quite a few sales from LEB users yesterday so I am sure someone will post a benchmark here. We will also get them live on Serverbear in a few days – but please do not run them ‘constantly’.
    4) To get the free DNS and SSLs – please open up a ticket after order and we’ll add it to your account.

Please post here, or email us any questions that you have in mind. I have asked another member of our staff to respond here in case anyone asks something and I am not around.

    Thank you,
    Abdullah

Are the Xen VMs in Utah PV or HVM?

If they are PV VMs, what Linux kernel(s) are available and can you post links to the .config of them?

  9. Xen VMs are PV for Linux kernels and HVM for Windows / FreeBSD. However windows required at least 1024MB RAM. We have over 100+ OS templates available. If you need anything specific, let me know.

  10. I just checked and we were sold out on 1Gbps VPS and Cloud servers had 2 available. Then I went through fraud / unpaid orders and have added some more stock:

    1Gbps NL – 3 available
    Cloud Servers – 3 available

The deal will be expired in 8 hours.

i really in love with folks at Host Hatch…and let me describe you why i think so….?

first of all i purchased 10gbit vps in Netherlands on 27th November 2012…..

and my all clients are from India Only…..but me and my clients faced some connectivity problem(low network speed)
so after testing from 27th to 30th…..i complaint about network speed to them….

and i must say here there support is best in the world….according to me…..

they haven’t told different excuses about my problem and directly said that maybe their data center
peering to Indian ISP’s is not good and offered me refund….my reply was “Let me test your 10gbps server for some more days”

on 2nd December 2012….i just opened ticket about my problem again and requested them to transfer me to their US Cloud VPS…..and to my shock….after 5 days of service they credited money back to my account
and told be to get new US cloud vps from their billing panel….

and in this whole process i never feel like a customer who is being told lies and lies…..

its only truth and i must say they are very straight forward…and helpful…

so this is the reason i fall in love with these guys…..best of luck Host Hatch

WARNING:————————— HostHatch.com has a bad refund policy.

I tried to get my refund within the 7 days allotted in their terms and conditions but HostHatch will not refund my $26 because they want a ” good reason” for me to cancel.

Well it took them about 9 hours to get back to me on a simple support question. That was reason enough for me to request the cancellation by not for them. Here was their answer:

    ———————————-
Greetings Kevin, Thanks for contacting our Billing Department. Please kindly review our Refund Policy here: https://hosthatch.com/terms-of-service#refund-policy I only have the authorization to process a refund request for you if you qualify for our refund policy. In this case, we guarantee a 24 hour ticket response time. It’s usually much shorter than that (such as few minutes to few hours) If there is a problem on our end such as, but not limited to, unexpected downtime, decreased server performance, etc. I would be more than happy to be able to provide you with a full refund request. Thank you for your kind understanding in this matter. If you have anymore questions, please don’t hesitate to contact us again. Best Regards, Megan R Sales & Billing Departments @ HostHatch Inc. FAIR WARNING !! If you sign up with them, make SURE that you WILL like them otherwise you can say goodbye to your $ 26 bucks . I will plaster this little warning wherever I can so that others be warned and not fall in the same trap. Sincerely . Kevin an unhappy ex-customer that feels cheating and that is fighting back like he can.
