Hi, I purchased one of your Hostigger Openstack VPS (2core, 4gb) today and so far I’m having hard time keeping a SSH connection alive with your server. I’m not sure if its the actual server or your network (but i think its your network because the system load is almost 0% atm) i only had few hours with the server and the ssh connection kept freezing all the time. I checked my network also, but nothing at fault as far as i know.

Started yesterday with an OpenStack VPS (8gb, 2 core). Overall it looks good, did quite some installations and configurations and all went well. Still too short to say something about stability.
One problem occurring since this morning is a freezing terminal, same as chamaabe. I also had a freezing xfce4 environment over VNC. Had to restart the VPS but it still happened after.
I am not sure if it also influences the processes on the server or that it is a network issue. At this moment I go with chaamabe and believe its a networking issue as the memory and cpu usage doesn’t show strange peaks.
Since the freezing terminal I watched activity closely and these are my findings:
– Average uploadspeed 530mbs
– Average downloadspeed 360mbs
– Freezing terminal did occur again but it looks like this is an situation between me and the server, not between the server and the internet. Uptime 100%, no drop in connections. Also no weird peaks in memory or CPU.
Alright folks! I’ve done some more tests with Hostigger VPS and I’m happy to say it wasn’t a total waste of money buying one. But the network speeds are outright terrible. (https://ibb.co/jWyGX5g – See for yourselves) They claim it’s 500mbs and i even opened a ticket (which they without hesitation closed) and it might be true if you speed test within Turkey (where they are located in) but what good it does for rest of us?
Uptimes are good, Server performance is also good, only if they fixed their network issues they’d be a solid choice. till then avoid!
Also glad i’m not the only one having same problem @decide1000 hope it’ll get better.

The latest version is installed. When a new version is released, you can update it with apt-get update.
