    Very solid service.
, can’t remember if the downtimes where caused by me, reinstalling OS etc. :)

Thank you for the kind words, Simplyfast. The last downtime in July was probably a maintenance we performed due to a Xen kernel vulnerability.

  5. We mainly use templates, so you can reinstall your VPS with the Reinstall button under the General Tab. If you would like to have a cdrom added to install your OS from cdrom, just open a ticket and we will add any cdrom you like.

Why do I have to provide id card or passport?

As part of the fraud prevention process, we will ask for a government issued ID or passport to verify you are indeed who you say you are. This is usually triggered when you fail a fraud check measure where we can’t verify who you are.

Extremely slow support, very unprofessional. They recently migrated to a different location and their migration policy was to force all users to reinstall and reconfigure all their servers. As soon as my server is back up I’m taking all my data and moving to a more stable provider.

    Hello.
We use HostMist a couple of years. And service is good. Service several time migrated to a different location. Please, look at this:

As you see speed is good today. Time to time i see 120-300 MB/s. But usually it 180 MB/s at this server.
Network speed is 10 MB/s usually.
Also we have server at other node and it average speed little lower (i hope it will corrected):
    I/O – 140 MB/s average.
    Net – 10 MB/s.
Support: is good if you write at the US working time. With 2-30 min. latency. And they not just answer: they decide your problem.
Online – our server off line only we reboot it. It is online more then 200 days. Even migration not make our sites offline coz we has more then 30 days for moving data. I think migration was in reason that Matthew chose better data centre and update equipment.

If you need good quality of service you can chose HostMist without hesitation.

Sorry for pure answer. Maybe later i tell you more.
