Happy Independence Day! Okay, 4th of July is probably just another day for over 50% of LowEndBox readers, but Independence Day offers are surely coming in. Hudson Valley Host has previously ran promo on for Christmas, Valentine’s Day, Memorial Day and possibly many others. So not surprisingly, they are now offering Independence Day promo with 55% off recurring discount on their regular VPS plans (promo code july4th55), and 20% off recurring discount on their budget VPS plans (promo code july4th20). The ever increasing discount on their regular VPS plans means “Beginner” would be inside my listing criteria this time at $6.75/month. Direct sign up link with promo code pre-filled.

LEA (LowEndAdmin) is the original founder of LowEndBox and the visionary who gave rise to an entire movement around minimalist, efficient hosting. In 2008, LEA launched LowEndBox with a simple but powerful idea: that it was possible to run meaningful applications, web servers, VPNs, mail servers, and more – on small, low-cost virtual machines with minimal resources.
At a time when most infrastructure discussions were dominated by high-end servers and enterprise platforms, LEA championed the opposite approach: lightweight Linux distros, self-managed servers, open source software, and thoughtful optimization. This philosophy gave birth to the term “Low End Box”, which would come to define a new genre of hosting tailored to developers, tinkerers, and budget-conscious users around the world.
Through LowEndBox and its companion forum, LowEndTalk, LEA built the foundation for what would become one of the most active and enduring communities in the hosting world, prioritizing knowledge-sharing, transparency, and accessibility.
After several years of nurturing the site and community, LEA stepped away from active involvement, passing the torch to a new generation of admins, contributors, and moderators. Today, LEA remains a respected figure in the LowEnd ecosystem, credited with launching a platform and philosophy that continues to influence thousands of infrastructure providers and users globally.
LowEndBox’s legacy, and its thriving community, is a direct result of LEA’s original vision.

wish they have xen/kvm soon..
Website says these guys do transfers – Are they able to transfer VPS products?
If the old and new VPS are the same OS version, then its possible to fsync the VPSs.
Any reviews from fellow LEB users?
i’ve been with them for couple of months now. support is good enough for me because i dont need sophisticated support, except that i need unusual iptables modules.
i never notice major downtime, but i’m not sure that i’m at burstnet because they said my vps at washington.
below is some stats:
Not bad stats at all!
I wish they had a 128 MB VPS for $15 a year, I’d buy one for sure!
Did you check spotvps.com? They offer 128 MB VPS for $15 a year
I need it to be in NYC… That’s like the only reason for even going for a VPS in my situation.
Have you checked out AlienVPS? For $19/year they offer a VPS with 192MB RAM.
@NetDip A little bit of trashing an advertisement referring them else where?
semoweb, I don’t understand your comment. Would you please explain?
