So…JustVM. What the heck?
JustVM joined LowEndTalk in May of 2016 and has visited those legendary pages over 6,000 times. 86 discussions, 1,100 comments, and 343 thanks. Not too shabby for an 8-year career.
According to their web site:
Just VM is an affordable hosting company located in Dover, DE. We offer dedicated resources, including dedicated KVM VMs and Dedicated Servers as well, with options for SSD and SAS drives. We cater to companies that require custom kernel modifications, patches, or obscure features, and their services are suitable for running Windows Server, Linux, and other operating systems. We serve customers worldwide.
And:
Just VM has been providing reliable services since early 2008.
They’ve posted some juicy offers:
- In June, they offered 1U colo for $35/month.
- Back on July 16, you could get a 1GB VPS for only $10 a year!
And on August 1 they announced “I Am Back”:
New promotions start now
Act fast – these incredible deals won’t last forever!
That was their craziest promotion yet and it was really quite ridiculous:
- 4 CPU
- 8GB RAM
- 50GB storage
- IPv4 and IPv6
- 5TB transfer
- $20/year
I mean, just look at those specs and that price. As a limited-stock Black Friday teaser, maybe, but as a regular offer…
And then yesterday, August 21st – only 20 days since that insane offer – they announce they’re closing operations. LowEndTalk member @hsr posted the email:
