Have you used a Synology NAS at home? Do you want one in the cloud?
For those unfamiliar, Synology makes a line of inexpensive NAS systems aimed at both the home and small business markets. They have very attractive web-based interfaces with a neat desktop-like graphical interface and they’re very easy to use. One of the key attractions is that you can leave them running all the time with minimal power, as opposed to running a full-bore homemade x86 tower with something like FreeNAS.
iKoula offers hosted Synology systems. For example, you can get a 2TB SATA for €10.49/month.
Part of the attraction is the Synology all-in-one interface, which allows you to effortlessly turn on and off services, mange users, and configure features without having to edit text files or learn Linux system administration. Diehard Unix neckbeards can find cheaper (and more performant) offers but you are unlikely to find any that are more user-friendly.
