Since it is KVM with SolusVM, I’ll be able to mount my own ISO? I actually want to install FreeBSD it is the operating system I am most used to… Is it allowed by you or only Linux is allowed?

28. The “iniz.com is not an active Shopper Approved customer” did give me a bit of a chuckle. Signed up anyway and it was setup and ready to use near instant after payment.

There was a little hang-up on disk IO, but that wasn’t continuous. The kernel/ip6tables doesn’t have state match support, so I’ve disabled IPv6 on it (fairly common issue anyway).

Otherwise, for the day that it has been running so far, it’s been a good impression.

Hoping to see 8GB become available on their “high RAM” counterpart.

I´m on Iniz für several months now, ordered the SSD VPS offer in the Netherlands and also upgraded it to run Cpanel/WHM. The uptime is legendary, I haven´t seen an uptime like this on such a cheap VPS offer in the past, also the network and the node itself is extremely fast, they run all servers on dedicated gigabit lines. The support team monitors the nodes really well so there were no outages except on one day for several hours because of a major DDOS attack on the uplink provider infrastructure. That was not the fault of Iniz and this could happen in any datacentre at any time. The support response time could be faster but I never had an issue to get things solved and also depends on the amount of tickets the support staff receives at certain situations. You should always compare the price/performance ratio and rethink what to expect for a lowcost VPS. I would recommend INIZ to anybody and encourage to give them a try.

In case anyone is wondering NForce Databarn (where our servers are located) was hit with over 150Gbit DDoS which in short overloaded the core routers, since then NForce has already upgraded both core gear to handle a lot more capacity and not cause downtime for other clients as it’ll be able to handle a lot more.

44. Mr. Pragma:

OK, I purchased the cheap 256MB KVM in New York this afternoon.

Basically I intended to use it as a low level secondary name server and didn’t expect a lot, frankly.

First impressions:

support – quick, helpful, friendly
vps – WOW! Nice connectivity, pretty fast VPS, fun to work with. I would feel perfectly safe running a web site from that virtual box.

Only minor lack of happyness: Next to no knowledgebase, documentation, etc. Based on my first impression though I’d think that Patrick (the iniz guy who answered my tickets so far) will probably provide some useful links. But then, that “problem” arose because they offered sth. on top of their good offer namely, diverse images incl. *BSD, Alpine, and quite some more. For the “standard” installations like Ubuntu, etc. it’s as simple as clicking “reinstall”.

Again, this is just a first impression based on 2 hours or so but from what I see so far, I’d recommend iniz anytime (and I’m actually thinking about paying a 2nd. year in advance).
For the sake of comparison, I had a prometeus (KVM) VPS and iniz seems to play in the same class; again, I took the cheapest VPS on offer.

A happy customer (so far) ;)

• Thanks for the kind words, I must admit our knowledge base could do with some more work however we have some higher priorities at the moment that I’m sure clients will be surprised at however this will take a couple of months of development :)

• Mr. Pragma:

I’m certainly not complaining.

Quite the contrary, I add a ++ for service to my micro-review for helping me to get *BSD running on my VPS.

I’ve also meanwhile installed some servers, done updates, etc. and both speed and connectivity were great.

I’ll book another year. That 20$/year vps is way better than expected.

Thanks Patrick for the friendly service.

I’ve had Iniz for two and a half months, a 1G KVM in NL.
March 7th 2014 – May19th 2014.
It’s been a constant battle and about a month ago I’ve purchased two more VPSs with Digital Ocean (which has been perfect so far) and Rack Burst (rack burst a little more recent). I have cleared the server and will terminate with Iniz.

In the beginning (first couple of weeks), the server was down every few hours, for some HW failures. I guess these things happen, but after transferring me I’ve had very slow response times from the server and it was practically non usable. My resource usage was below 50%, so the only explanation I have is resource racing on the server, or some bottleneck in transfer.

Patrick was very quick with responding, but did not acknowledge there was any trouble and that’s after I cleared up the server and re installed to a minimum to validate the slow response was not due to software.

Anyway, on DO I have a cheaper 5$ with 512 (half) the RAM and things are stable and extremely fast (same installation exactly).

My 5 cents,
Roy

Its horrible experience with this iniz.com

I have rented 3 VPS servers with 2 GB since last year, but the owner of this company has absolutely no experience in Linus; his Linux skills are terrible. He has destroyed my servers three times over the last 6 months after he moved all servers around; all my websites have been completely dead now, and it takes days to rebuild one of my ecommerce website.

I cannot afford to this nightmare with Mr Partrick whose Linux skills are like a baby. I would suggest he should spend at least another two years in proper school to learn more about Linux before he runs this business.

However, his servers are good. But what is the point having good servers, and servers have been destroyed many times a year without notice due to lack of Linux expertise of this Owner.

I decided to move on, and look for good server provider when I left some months there for my three servers.

Stay away!

Some notes on commenting on LowEndBox:

• Do not use LowEndBox for support issues. Go to your hosting provider and issue a ticket there. Coming here saying "my VPS is down, what do I do?!" will only have your comments removed.
• Akismet is used for spam detection. Some comments may be held temporarily for manual approval.
• Use
...
to quote the output from your terminal/console, or consider using a pastebin service.
