I was notified by Just295 that their low budget virtual servers is just $2.95/month! Here is what you will get:
- 256MB guaranteed/384MB burstable memory
- 5GB storage
- 1TB/month data transfer on 100Mbps
- OpenVZ/SolusVM
Payment available in credit card and PayPal. Servers in VegasNAP in Las Vegas, and you can find more about their test IP + download file on their Network page. Just295 is also a division of Ruby Ring Tech, which was featured on LowEndBox in July last year. Las Vegas based company that has been founded in 2007. Sounds like an established company. However, person who sent me the email uses @afreewebhost.com
email address, which was linked to 321Hosted.com that went to dead pool in April. Related?

LEA (LowEndAdmin) is the original founder of LowEndBox and the visionary who gave rise to an entire movement around minimalist, efficient hosting. In 2008, LEA launched LowEndBox with a simple but powerful idea: that it was possible to run meaningful applications, web servers, VPNs, mail servers, and more – on small, low-cost virtual machines with minimal resources.
At a time when most infrastructure discussions were dominated by high-end servers and enterprise platforms, LEA championed the opposite approach: lightweight Linux distros, self-managed servers, open source software, and thoughtful optimization. This philosophy gave birth to the term “Low End Box”, which would come to define a new genre of hosting tailored to developers, tinkerers, and budget-conscious users around the world.
Through LowEndBox and its companion forum, LowEndTalk, LEA built the foundation for what would become one of the most active and enduring communities in the hosting world, prioritizing knowledge-sharing, transparency, and accessibility.
After several years of nurturing the site and community, LEA stepped away from active involvement, passing the torch to a new generation of admins, contributors, and moderators. Today, LEA remains a respected figure in the LowEnd ecosystem, credited with launching a platform and philosophy that continues to influence thousands of infrastructure providers and users globally.
LowEndBox’s legacy, and its thriving community, is a direct result of LEA’s original vision.
At least 2 people involved in Ruby Ring that I can find – Alan Gutierrez and Anthony Torreso (who claims it is his company).
They also seem to have a few other ventures (including some interesting ones lol):

Interesting – Also wonder why they use 295 in their domain?
VPS for Two Ninety-Five!
Hello,
Is there a TUN-TAP.
Can I install openvpn?
thank you
104,857,600 42.2M/s in 2.4s on Cachefly.
CPU is Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-2600 CPU @ 3.40GHz
This by all means looks legitimate and worth the value.
@Hughesey, Yes Just295.com is mine, it is a division of Ruby Ring Technologies that we spun off to try a new direction/product line.
@Stephane, yes but not installed/setup by defualt, just shoot us a support ticket and we can get the TUN/TAP enabled right quick for you, and yes openvpn can be installed.
@LowEndAdmin, Yeah I hired Mike ( afreewebhost.com ) good man alot of personal problems with the 321Hosted, sadly I wasn’t able to get with him in time to get that company back and running. Now if I could just get him to stop using that email address. :-)
Thanks,
Anthony

@Mr.z, while this is not our support forums or help desk what is not working for you?
Thanks,
Anthony

The speed is slow for the 100Mbps.
I download 300 kb / s – 340 kb / s
Too bad, because the offer sounds good.
1.2 Mb/s at Portugal.
Speed is fine, I guess you just have a really bad connection.
Hi, The connection is very good for 3 dolars!!! i have a vps for 6 mounts, and is working just fine… i run radio ..and http. is the best
@Stephane, those speeds are horrible. If you don’t mind can you please open up a support ticket with a traceroute so I can see if there is some problem we can look at.
Thanks,
Anthony
Currently running a VPS with them.
I have not had a Major Issues so far except for a DMCA complaint.
I have disabled that user permanently ^_^…
Cachefly 100mb test clocking at 3 seconds. I’m very much happy with that.
