  2. @Martin – So how’s OVH been to you during the whole IP changes? or did you buy plenty of extra space before hand? :D

You’re the only OVH host that comes to mind (that didn’t dead pool within 3 months).

    • Hey Fran. We’re fine just now, stocked up fairly recently too. From what I’ve been told and talking to Oles, it’s only going to apply to customers going forward and those on the Professional Plan are exempt from it.

We’ll be pushing more of the UK products in the next 6 months with huge expansion going on there with our own IP space :)

    • Hey Fran,

I think our start up strategy of making a brand awareness and offering a good service, before worrying about profit for the first year helped in that :p

We knew the issues with the IP’s with OVH would be coming up, about 2 weeks prior to the OVH press release, Martin and I had discussed about this already.

Anyway, we are looking forward to another great year :)

SSD S 128 has 128MB RAM AND 128MB VSwap or 256MB RAM and 256 VSwap?

Same question for SSD S 256.

    Thanks!

    October 1, 2012 @ 12:09 pm | Reply
    • Hi, The 128 plans come with initally 128mb of ram and 128 vswap, which will then be doubled on ticket request, the 256 plan comes with 256mb of ram and 256 vswap which will be doubled on ticket request.

  5. do you own hardware? thanks

    October 1, 2012 @ 2:15 pm | Reply
    • The only hardware we own at this time, is everything on the UK side of miniVPS, from the switches to the servers, to the cabling and everything else associated.

This offer here is French based, meaning all servers are based at OVH, France.

Does MiniVPS take back up of user VPS data?

    October 5, 2012 @ 6:49 am | Reply
    • We backup all data on the nodes for emergencies yes, but we don’t provide customers access to the backups. We can restore individual VPS backups but not files within.

after more then a week with the SSD S 256 from “MiniVPS” i highly Recommend this provider! supoort it fast. activation of the vps is immediately and after you open the ticket they double your ram + your swap size and HD disk size as in the LEB Promo. ticket was responded in less then 5 mintues. vps is really fast with the SSD . OVH connectivty to the internet is also fast. so if you need a fast VPS in France with fast I/O speed take this promo now. i allways wanted a vps in OVH, but OVH takes to much money on the kimsufi VM and also give you only 10 Mbps connection.

    Thank you “MiniVPS”

    Cannot recommend these people enough.

Been with them for a while now running an SSD VPS and a plain OpenVZ one, support is excellent, speed has always been great – and no downtime that comes to mind.

    128MB SSD: 1073741824 bytes (1.1 GB) copied, 3.42745 s, 313 MB/s
    Plain OpenVZ: 1073741824 bytes (1.1 GB) copied, 13.3269 s, 80.6 MB/s

    Give them a try :)

I’t been neary the month since I’ve subscribed for this offer (SSD S 128). Zero downtime since: up 27 days
Network is fast and IO is great:
