I’m a little sad at the closure of the EU location. From my minivps there I’d get about 50, sometimes up to 90mbit/s (Virgin Media ISP). Checking their UK test file, I’m hitting 4mbit/s tops.
Hi Roph.
Here’s the same test files on our new location – can you see what speeds you get here?

Thanks! :)
About 20mbit/s. Where are those?
It’s in UK, isn’t it?
Those ones are located in Maidenhead.
Yes – all of our provisioning stock is in the UK now, we’re moving out of OVH. The new nodes are working extremely well with the move. We may start provisioning new accounts on them, too!

Hi
If I go for one of these and find out it isn’t quite up to my needs how would I go about upgrading?
Also any chance of a comparable deal on the VPS 4 (1GB) as I might be tempted to leave Linode.com if so?
Any comments or benchmarks regarding i/o?
If you do a search on here you’ll find our previous 1GB special – that might be what you’re after.
As for upgrading, that’s easy enough. It’s all handled in your client area however I should point out you can only upgrade to one of our other standard plans. You can’t upgrade between specials. Let us know if you’ve got any other queries!
Will this offer be restocked?
Yep – new stock is added at 9am and 6pm every day :)
