    • Hi Asim,

The £10 a year specials went out of stock pretty quickly, hopefully everyone is enjoying them :)

We do at random times release more (normally when existing £10 a year specials expire and are not renewed) best place to keep upto date on that is either on our web site or on http://www.facebook.com/minivps

There are only 10 UK specials left as well at the time of this post.

      Kind regards

      • Simon, I would like to discuss a custom package … how do I get in touch with you?

When I try to use the contact form on your site, it is requesting that I login; I don’t have a login as I am not yet a customer. There doesn’t appear to be a pre-sales contact form.

        Thanks

I already have a VPS with miniVPS and pretty pleased. Just one question, with the 1GB RAM offer, would you be able to provide some more HDD space?

    • Hi Stephen,

It’s something we could look in to for you – just drop in a ticket.

  11. 2 days ago, we brought up a new node to replace an existing node, we are now able to offer more of the UK Specials and they have been added to stock, but they are bound to go fast if the last week is anything to go by.

Had one of the special plans for a while and it ran mostly without issues. But make sure not to use any CPU at all or you get hit with a suspension without warning. They just shut it off and then make you wait a few hours between ticket responses.

This is enough to get you suspended. Ridiculous.

    • Hello George. Perhaps a little context would help.

We suspended your VPS because of CPU usage spikes. I personally informed you of this after you submitted a ticket. We informed you it was because of a single process. You were told this particular process has spiked on more than one occasion for and excessive period of time. Your original ticket was replied to within 2 minutes, after your reply to this, we replied in 13 minutes.

By your own admission, you stated the CPU spikes could have happened just before the VPS was suspended – “It may have been at the time of suspension, but it doesn’t seem like the norm.”

Our last reply was a little ‘late’, 7 hours to be precise, however you seemed to have resigned yourself to the fact the VPS was suspended because of late payment which again, as notified to you, wasn’t the case. We’ve had no further reply from you since our last reply (07/08/2012 07:28 ) so I’m not entirely sure why you’re here complaining? You haven’t indicated you want to resolve the problem or would like help in resolving the issue so your VPS has remained suspended. Feel free to get in touch and we’ll get it sorted.. but in the meantime, we’re not mind readers.

      Thanks.

  22. We are down to the last stock of the 1GB UK Specials, 5 are left, once they are gone, they are gone!! we can’t guarantee if / when they will be back.

So if you have been thinking about it for the last few days, an entire new node stock value has almost gone in under 48 hours, time is running out for this offer, so act now and find out why miniVPS is so popular ;)

  23. Dean:

Hi guys, not related to this offer specifically, but do you allow more than one website to be hosted on your VPS plans?

    October 3, 2012 @ 8:38 am | Reply
    • @Dean there is no limit to how many static, dynamic, parked website or no-websites-at-all you host on any VPS. The only real limit are the resources (disk, bandwidth, memory aka RAM)

      October 3, 2012 @ 10:51 am | Reply
    • As Asim has mentioned above, there are no limits to the sites you can host on the VPS. The only limitations are the resources you have ordered – that will govern how many (and of what type) of websites you can host :)

This doesn’t bode well :-\ I just signed up, all went swimmingly. But now, everything has just ground to a halt, the web-based control panel is painfully slow, and I have no chance of using ssh – it just doesn’t connect at all.
I can ping my IP, but not a lot more. I have high hopes for this service and the customer service rep i spoke to was really helpful, so I hope this is just bad luck?

Update: I think it must’ve just been a funny 30 minutes – everything is good now. Seems fast and responsive. Still one of the cheapest configurations I can find and I’m glad I’ve signed up.

      • Hi Laurie. Did you submit a ticket about this?

It doesn’t sound at all normal. If you were on uko2 that might explain it as we had an issue with this node on Saturday.

          Hi Martin,
Sorry I didn’t respond sooner, I didn’t get notification of your reply.
no, sorry I didn’t submit a ticket, purely because I couldn’t access any of the logged in features. I did use the contact form, but I’m not sure whether it reached you or not?

I’ll be honest, I’m not sure whether I am on uko2 or not – i will check when I get home from work if it helps?

          Thanks

        • Hi Laurie,

yeah, if you wouldn’t mind. I’d like to know what’s happened so we can either sort it out or explain correctly! :)

If you could just drop a ticket in we’ll be able to identify your node straight away.
