Hosting Websites on Bare Minimum VPS/Dedicated Servers

NeedAssistant – $5/m, 2GB KVM, Unmetered 1Gbps in France

Tags: , , Date/Time: December 18, 2015 @ 1:00 am, by Jarland Donnell

Screen Shot 2015-12-16 at 9.21.51 PMRalph from NeedAssistant is making his first offer to LowEndBox. This is the first I had heard of them, and the website looks a bit unique in comparison to what we’re used to. They appear to sell games, unlock cell phones, and then they also sell hosting. Quite an interesting combination of service offerings. Sure they’re another host coming out of OVH France, but it’s nice to see new names.

  1. 1Gbps Unlimited transfer for $5, is that a sustainable price?

    December 18, 2015 @ 7:10 am | Reply
    • Dear,
we are using 3x300GB SSD Drives per node, so each node only has few VPS (Storage Limitation), this is why we’re giving 1Gbps unlimited, and in case the transfer rate is abused by a VPS (like full usage all the time) we contact the VPS owner.
we’ve been in business for 9 years, and in hosting business for 3 years, i’d say you can try the vps and review us :)

        • The service looks solid, any chance of new offers in the near future?

          January 8, 2016 @ 7:44 am | Reply
          • Hello,
We’re thinking of a next level upgrade few selective services.

You buy a service, you get the next level for the same price. It will be available for plesk hosting, plesk Hosting reseller, combo hosting reseller, and vps.
            Regards

What is the advantage compared to the cheaper VPS SSD 1 offer from ovh?

    December 18, 2015 @ 9:34 am | Reply
    • I don’t know about ovh’s vps, all we can do is promise outstanding uptime, (we haven’t restarted the servers in like 200 days, and that was for a critical update), maintain the usage of the shared resources (cpu and Internet) and the rest is dedicated. And the most important is our support, which I’m sure takes over ovh support. Just try the service and judge yourself.

  4. 1Gbps Unmetered @ $5/m — ugh, not happening x many containers.

    Expect saturation.

    December 18, 2015 @ 6:49 pm | Reply
    • Dear,

It will not be saturated as we’re constantly adding nodes, and while it’s unmetered we do contact the abusive vps (if they’re using constant tansfer all the time, if they will be using in an abusive way we do offer full refund). All our clients are using our vps for production environment and are all satisfied, all i can offer is trial, and full refund if you didn’t like the service (only 1st month)

10GB SSD Too small, I would rather add some money for 1T HDD

    • Dear,
You won’t find ssd 1tb for cheap.
If you want normal hdd we can provide the same specs but E3 cpu and 40GB hdd for the same price.

Why I do need setup nameservers during order? It’s a webhosting or VPS? Do you accept Bitcoins? Amazing good offer, but I would rather see 100 GB HDD, instead 10 GB SSD. I would really love to order.

    • Dear,

it’s a VPS, enter anything it doesn’t matter, we have another node with normal HDD, we can provide the same price for the same specs, but HDD 40GB and Xeon E3 Processor. let me know if interested.

I thought your tech support is really fast.
But my simplest ticket about “lowendbox_doubleram” is unattended for 2 hours already.
Interesting, how long support responds on really hard requests.
