More about the company:

“NFPHosting.com was founded in 2006 as an e-commerce hosting provider after seeing the lack of hosts who can deliver quality. Throughout the years of learning the ins and outs of running a hosting company, and seeing the opportunities to expand in the marketplace, NFP Hosting throughout the years added additional services to serve a wider variety of markets. NFP Hosting today offers everything the basic consumer looking to start a website may need, all the way up to the advanced (technical) user looking to set up a cluster of servers. At NFP Hosting, there is no waiting around. Services are instantly provisioned, and 24/7 customer support comes standard with our plans. No compromises. No excuses. It’s really as simple as that.

We are the provider for the people. Our motto is: Premium Solutions. Friendly People. Service Delivered. This means always going above and beyond, and going the extra mile. Hence why customers love NFP Hosting. Real results, real performance!”

Their reseller offering is really oversold and super slow. Their standalone VPS product works OK but they don’t seem to be interested in fixing the reseller issue.

Standalone VPS is also very oversold. None of mine have been usable in 6 months. They just keep bouncing me from one oversold server to another – it’s a good day if I can even get an SSH connection to work.

I agree. After a year with 5 nfp services including SSD VPS they are seriously oversold. The standard answer from support is “we have optimised the node, check your VPS now”. I won’t be renewing any of the services. Honestly, I wouldn’t recommend nfp to anyone at all.

Bought a VPS from NFP Hosting last year (on their BF deal). Just renewed that one, and bought a VPS reseller pool too just now too.

After 1 year and counting of service I can say, they are decent for the money. If you need to get up and running quickly, they are good and economic.

nfphosting again? didn’t we already have them recently and now it’s even more bang for less usd. That can’t be a good sign after the recent storm of bad reviews complaining about very poor performance https://lowendbox.com/blog/nfphosting-5-vps-reseller-offers-deploy-in-los-angeles-ny-and-chicago-from-18-yr/

Oh and Nathan, when you are so kind and pretend to be interested and ask people to email you, you might as well check your mailbox and reply, otherwise you are just gaining more and more bad reviews.

If anybody thinks this is a great deal, read the previous reviews. Nothing has changed really. Poor performance, slow support (still 1 guy), VPSes going offline regularly etc.

Same problem! Nathan posts his email everywhere inviting people to email him, and has ignored every single message I’ve ever sent. Wasn’t sure if I was hitting spam, so I tried another email provider entirely – still ignored too.

I have 3 VPS hosts from NFP. The offers are very attractive. My first 2 (small) VPS are on the 104.223.63/ IP network, no problems. Based on this experience I purchased a bigger VPS (6 GB, 4 vCPU and 150 GB storage). I use this latter VPS to host my web site and file sharing. Regrettably, I have faced connectivity issues with this VPS on the 192.3.112/ network. In Nov. I have had 4 outages so far (pingdom report). Support has not been able to tell me why the host is *unreachable* in a randomly. I have requested to move the VPS to another network segment but so far no resolution.

  7. Unhappy a couple of times. They make great offer but the support doesn’t solve your issues most of times. I had some hosting with uptime of 80-85%. I dismissed fast these guys.

I really like the idea of resource pool VPS offerings and I was initially very tempted by the higher end offers from NFPHosting or other similar posts to LEB recently. There are two things putting me off:

    1. The lack of a monthly billing option.
    2. The large number of negative experiences in the comments on previous similar posts from NFPHosting and others.

Insisting on annual billing suggests that possibly they don’t think the service is good enough to keep people who are paying monthly and could leave at any time if they are not satisfied. The large number of bad experiences would seem to confirm this.

I have been stung before on annual billing and that won’t be happening again.

I know people say you get what you pay for, but I’ve been hosting websites on VPS offerings from LEB for years and my current main web server has been with the same company for over three years now. Ultimately the service has to be usable, even if it’s offered at a low price.

I wish to apply more VPS reseller package, but seems like it failed to create more VPS instance with error message:-

    1) Please correct the Plan with the right slave server name. No server present in the Server Group which has the resources required as per the parameters set and is of the Virtualization Type – openvz

And I have opened a ticket #151451, but problem never solved yet, I suspected resources are out of order?

I have 10+ VPS packages from NFP and hope to get more VPS reseller package, but please prepare more resources and solve the issue ASAP. Thanks in advanced, Nathan!

Make sure to read the past reviews of these guys before proceeding. I too was guilty of thinking that only some vocal customers were posting reviews, so I signed up for a bunch of services (VPS + reseller). I’ve had to abandon them all and cut my losses. Uptime was absolutely terrible, and of course servers were always inaccessible when they were needed. It’s not so much “downtime” per say, but NFP oversells A LOT and server resources would just drain to a halt and I couldn’t access them or anything running on them. Support had to constantly bounce me around to new servers, every time causing complete data loss so I’d have to restore from a recent backup if the server wasn’t working well enough to take a current snapshot. Several times I did take the hit of data loss because I needed the server to work and had to simply use “the most recent” backup if I didn’t have one from whatever work was done prior to it becoming in accessible.

Support is terrible. I think it’s off shore? They ignore every single question I’ve ever asked them and their only answers seem to be “try now” or asking to move me to another server. Never actually “fixed” any problems. Even on extremely urgent downtime tickets, average response time was 2+ days.

Nathan, who invites LEB users to email him with questions or problems, also ignores emails and has never once replied to any email I sent him (be it questions, or inaccessible server issues).

I love trying out low cost VPS providers on LEB, and these guys are simply the WORST I’ve used in a very long time. Scroll through the homepage and pick anyone else at random and they’ll probably be better.

    • kiko:

So the “good” reviews may be not 100% honest or it’s due the location of your vps maybe ?

      November 15, 2018 @ 5:46 am | Reply
      • trekkiemonster:

Nope, not location dependent, I’ve got servers in both locations they offer. It’s oversold, plain and simple. Read the reviews on this post, other NFP hosts, trust pilot, etc. Anyone who has used NFP for any length of time has generally walked away from them.

        November 15, 2018 @ 10:45 am | Reply
    • simon:

I think they are advertising the “promotion” again because many users walked away from them recently and they got some room to squeeze more in.

Btw, thanks for mentioning trust pilot, wish I knew about it before I invested in NFP.

Alright, if you want to throw money out to the worst possible hosting provider NFPHosting is there to take your money.

I picked one of the deals with them last time and it was so oversold I couldn’t get speedtest-cli package installed in less than 4 mins and that’s like 70kb. Their network are so clogged to the point you are downloading/uploading 100kb/s .

It’s a very tempting deal at that price. But that’s kinda the point of it. It’s oversold so much it’s not worth the headache. I’m not looking to get my issues fixed, I’m not here for that. At the very least let me warn others to avoid using this provider.

Same problems here. I’ve hardly ever been able to access ANY of the servers they keep bouncing my VPS around to because they’re all so incredibly oversold and overutilized that nothing will work – ssh, http, etc. everything just times out and the server is almost always inaccessible. I’ve cut my losses and walked from them.

We bought nfphosting unmanaged VPS hosting. Every few days, it will be either “suspended” or “offline” mode for no obvious reasons. The reason given was “Network interrupt”. We do not even know what that mean. They never bother to explain either.

I strongly suggest nobody purchase any plan from nfphosting!!! It is a big scam!!!

Totally Agree – Stay away from this provider! Response time >24 hours, after that time you can get no-sense answer and again + 24 hours in order to hear something from this guys. Right now my account is down with the stupid text – “Sorry for the inconvenience! – The filesystem mounted at / on this server is running out of disk space. cPanel operations have been temporarily suspended to prevent something bad from happening. Please ask your system admin to remove any files not in use on that partition.”

STAY AWAY!!! The will ignore all your tickets!!! Most cPanel functions do not work including backup. You cannot even extract any zipped file. While you are either backing up or extracting, they will manually reduce resources allocated to you account. I saw that my Mysql space was reduced from 9G to 200kb!!!! …to keep my sites offline. Can you just imagine? And they will ignore ALL your tickets afterwards.
