NodeServ colocates with GoRack in Jacksonville, Florida and owns all nodes which are Dual L5639, 36 GB DDR3 ECC Memory, 4x 1 TB HDD’s with RAID 10.

Jade mentions that NodeServ is currently in the process of acquiring their own IP space directly from ARIN, and will have it completed within the coming months. It is therefor possible that you will need to change IP at that time, I’m sure that there will be plenty of information when that is due.

Before posting this offer I did a quick check for some reviews about NodeServ and found no bad reviews, that usually means that the customers are either happy with the service or don’t use it. If you currently are a customer or sign up now, please let us know about the performance and stability.

    • Hello,

We have other smaller plans on our website, but we’re currently not running promotions on anything less than 512 MB. You can view our regular plans for a smaller one at http://nodeserv.com/openvz

  3. I would like to note that for security and ease of use we have opted to use x2go as the remote desktop software. You will be sent a setup script as well as a tutorial with how to use it.

However, on the OpenVZ-RDP plan if you want to use VNC / xRDP that would be fine too just be aware of the security trade off.

RDP script? What is wrong with SSH?

    February 28, 2014 @ 9:07 pm | Reply
    • We provide a RDP script to the customer upon purchase. The script allows them to install a remote desktop environment quick and easy.

      February 28, 2014 @ 11:27 pm | Reply
    • Of course you can still use SSH if you like, we just wanted to provide a semi-turnkey solution for those that are getting their feet wet on a remote desktop environment.
