OneAsiaHost is a “spinoff” of HostSG who have been providing managed hosting services since 1997. Although OneAsiaHost’s domain was registered in December 2010 they were providing shared hosting until July 2012, at which point they started providing VPS hosting. They own their own equipment and colocate at Global Switch/Epsilon in Singapore and have recently added Hurricane Electric and Deutsche Telekom to their list of peers. Two other plans are available below.

OVZ-256KVM-128

  • 128MB Guaranteed RAM
  • 256MB Burstable RAM
  • 5GB Disk Space (RAID10)
  • 100GB Bandwidth
  • 1 CPU Core
  • KVM with SolusVM
  • 1 x IPv4 and 10 x native IPv6
  • Singapore with Global Switch
  • 100Mbit per VPS
  • $7/Month, Direct signup link

They offer support within 4 hours during their own business hours, and otherwise up to 48 hours. rDNS can be set instantly in SolusVM for both IPv4 and IPv6, $3/month/IP for additional v4 addresses up to a maximum of 2. They prohibit the use of torrents, IRC, TOR and adult content, however do allow private VPNs and proxies. New customers are activated manually, presumably to help reduce the amount of fraudulent orders. Payment via PayPal only, with a no-refunds policy.

    • Clearly stated on the pre-signup form “Service activation may take up to 48 hours; you will receive a Welcome email from us with the necessary details.” Your order/ticket has barely been pending for 2 hours.

I’ve processed your order, but if you feel that the response time that is stated on our website (both product pages and presignup page) are not suitable for your needs, please feel free to open a ticket I’ll make an exception and arrange for a refund. We only advertise what we can safely guarantee our customers, if you feel 2 hours is too long then our standard 48 hours turn around time is definitely not going to work out.

  7. Speed and ping times from Australia weren’t as good as I was expecting (although this could be due to my ISP’s routing). Getting around 250ms pings to the test IP address and 200 KB/s from the test file (over TPG ADSL2+)

    • TPG is the only ISP I can’t get decent routing to in AU. Their route to Singapore is via JP>HK>SG, which as you can see is over 200ms. Telstra/Optus should get much better performance, about 100-150ms from Sydney, 50-100ms from Perth. Sadly not much I can do at this point, apologies.

OAH sends your account password in plain text via email. Beware the information you trust OAH with.

    • So what?
This kind of stuff is discussed here again and again.

If you find that there’s nothing wrong with that, then good for you.

    • Fixed, you’re probably referring to the WHMCS login details. We disabled sending of VPS passwords before we launched due to feedback from LET users, but seems that we didn’t do the same for the standard WHMCS client signup email.

    • we’ll try our best, though getting instant activation all the time is likely impossible. (likely almost no way it can happen if local time is 3am to 6am or something haha) but the team will do all we can to address the orders and concerns of those interested.
