PaulVPS have been featured once before, back in December 2012. The plan on offer at the time was the same ‘US offer’ we have listed above but it cost $5.50 instead of the $4.86 it’s being sold for today. As mentioned on the last post, Chinese based PaulVPS were founded in October 2011 and provide hosting solutions to thousands of clients across China. Comments on their last offer seemed to be very positive. We are told servers could be provisioned instantly or might take up to 6 hours to be setup depending on maxmind fraud checks. It would be great if any current customers could leave an up to date review below.

PaulVPS provide a 7 day money back guarantee, simply cancel the service within 7 days and they will issue a full refund. They accept payments via Paypal and Alipay (chinese equivalent of Paypal). All of their VPS services come with a 99.9% uptime guarantee, more information on this can be found on their SLA page. As usual you may want to read their Terms of Service and Acceptable Usage Policy before purchasing.

  5. Wouldn’t the guy’s name be Paul? His company name is PaulVPS… just saying. In any case I’m tempted to pick up one of these to have a server in Germany.

    • Nice uptime monitoring script!
Personally considering to replace it with StatusCake :)

      • My typo, replace StatusCake with it.

        February 13, 2013 @ 8:18 am | Reply
        • I’ve never heard of statuscake. Before this I used a Nagios + Naggraph setup to check and monitor uptime, but that would become very very slow when there are more than 500 hosts in it…

  14. I just rented a VPS on their Frankfurt node for the outrageous cheap price of $2.5 / month and I must say that I am very happy satisfied with their service.
Good connection, stable, good latency, good route and pretty and the container is very fast for 256 MB openVZ container.
The container setup is also very good, no fail count in user_beancounters.
I definately recommend PaulVPS for people looking to run small services on a reliable VPS.

  15. 180 degrees change after 2 days:

My VPS stopped working for no reason appearently.
The external data monitoring link is here: http://stats.pingdom.com/2k7ji4p9eat8/753707
Yes, that’s how reliable it runed PaulVPS to be.
I accessed their solusvm panel and tried to boot it from there but no chance.
Mailed the support address twice in 6 hours but I haven’t got any answer.
Finally I managed to restore my service to another location but still, I lost the data gathered in 3 days while running at PAulVPS. Talking about mysql data and files.
Appearently they don’t want to grant me access at all, at least to recover the data.
I don’t need the money back or don’t care about those 2 1/2 bucks I just need the data back so I can restore the website to its last working condition.

    Second of all:

@Do not use LowEndBox for support issues:

This is obviously a SCAM and by advertising these scammers here you are part of it.
    Shame on you.
This is not a ticket support!
This is just placing you at the hall of shame for supporting chinese scams, here, online, taking advantage of poor people who cannot afford a expensive hosting at a reliable provider.

***** NEVER EVER BUY VPS FROM PAULVPS OR OTHER CHINESE SCAMMERS ******

**** NEVER EVER TRUST THE BULLSHIT OFFERS YOU SEE HERE ****

@chinese offers: there’s a chinese saying who kind of justify their scams: “Who pays cheap, pays twice”

Shame on you lowendbox.com for supporting scams, hopefully Paul will get eatten buy another chinese for nreakfast tomorrow, I rest my case!

    • I am sorry for the inconvenience caused.
I am aware that there maybe some slight mistake in yesterday’s DDOS mitigation on our node Gentle2(Germany Node2) . We brought down all of the containers temporarily for around 25 mins, after mitigation we then brought all containers back online.
Meanwhile we are all responsible to emails and tickets, I have double checked our recent tickets and find no ticket submitted by you, so I cannot understand your meaning by saying “there is no ticket system”. If you have submitted a ticket that we didn’t handle, please let me know the ticket ID and I will take a look into it seriously.
As per our SLA, you will be taken care of by our billing department if you submit a ticket, we are sorry for the issue happened, but we are trying our best to solve, calling us scam is irrational.

      Regards
      Roy

      • Dude, it’s OK. I don’t want anything else from you.
I first submitted a ticket asking why is my VPS down at 2:59 PM my local time and you didn’t answer it yet.
I got the notification about your reply here at 3:19 AM my time. That’s more than 12 hours.
And my VPS was down for way more than 25 minutes, you can see it in the uptime monitor link I posted. The red stuff there yesterday is YOUR downtime.
Also if you’ll check the log / actions on the Solus panel you will see I had 3 or 4 failed attempts of booting my VPS.
I am calling you scam because that’s what you are. I would’ve understood that you had problems if you would have replied to my emails.
BTW, bellow is my first email to your support address, asking why is it dead.

    • OK,
I aplogize for the bad language.
I understood it was a ddos attack. They made a mistake, my email was in their Junk folder so that’s how I got no answer to my complaints.
They admitted they made a mistake and offered a 2 months credit for my VPS which I appreciated.
So, there’sno scma and I will be continue using their service.
One after another, while online the service still is a quality service in terms of connection and speed.
      Sticking with PaulVPS.

  16. These guys(s) from PaulVPS won my heart back althoug I was so pissed off when we had some problems.
My small VPS (256) runs one of the most popular game servers for a first person shooter and the game server never gets empty, having 30-40 players at the same time connected at peak hours. The game server also queries and updates a mysql database and the website attached to the game server and hosted on the same VPS does the same.
And it still runs smooth and flawless.
And one plus since using the PaulVPS server is that my game server gained more and more popularity due to the great connection that gives incredible (LAN like) latency to players located in Germany.
Uptime also looks great lately, http://stats.pingdom.com/2k7ji4p9eat8/753707
    Cheers to PaulVPS!
