LowEndBox - Cheap VPS, Hosting and Dedicated Server Deals

Poll: What do you use your VPS for?

Welcome to our first Poll on Low End Box!

The last time we asked a question similar to this was nearly 11 years ago. Time flies. Since then VPS has become common place and shared web hosting has become less of the go-to market leader as users have demanded more control, more security and more performance from their web-centric services.

We have seen VPS prices come down over time and container specifications go up (way up), enabling more uses, both simple and complex, for virtual private servers.

So, without further delay, let’s get to the Poll:

  1. I search VPS for file hosting and VPN few web apps are more for managing my files on the server than really web apps.

How many idle servers do you think people have on average?

I’ve been using VPSs for apt package repository mirrors. Doesn’t quite fit any of your categories.
