QuickWeb Sorry for being absent for a while, and more apology for not replying emails nor posting anything over the last week. Here are some last minute Christmas bargains. First of all we have QuickWeb in New Zealand and their LowEndBox specials. The addition for this month is their new Los Angeles based services for their “Budget VZ” plans. Both Budget VZ I and II require 6 months/annual payment and if you prefer paying monthly, you’ll be looking at the “Budget VZ III” plan which starts at $6.99/month. Here are the direct sign up link for Phoenix and Los Angeles.

  • 384MB guaranteed/512MB burstable memory
  • 20GB storage
  • 500GB/month data transfer
  • 1x IPv4 + 1x IPv6 (Phoenix only)
  • OpenVZ/SolusVM

If you mention “LEB Promo” in the comment section of the order form, you can also choose either a 50% more memory OR 50% more disk free upgrade — the upgrade will be added manually by the staffs.

Merry Christmas everyone!

    • Some ISP’s in China have issues with some US carriers due to government firewall or some restrictions however those packets losses does not exist in other parts of the world you can use just-ping.com to test, Changing VPS location has service fee ever since.

        我知道你看得懂中文,我並沒有爭辯什麼, 我只是提醒後來者,這只是一個善意的提醒,對quickweb沒有任何惡意,OK?

  3. I’m sorry but after a year of using them, I can no longer recommend them. While the box itself was for the most part fine, I had to deal with random reboots of the server with no notification, support tickets not being resolved, billing concerns that were never resolved or even responded to, and no follow through by management and ownership upon ticket escalation. Roel seems to have gone out of his way to demonstrate a rather poor attitude towards me and, after being called on it, attempted to bribe me instead of actually dealing with the issues raised. He even went as far as to tell folks here at LEB that I had just “not renewed” when even their own system shows me as cancelling. Requested emails to him went unanswered except for him stating that I had threaten him even though those emails contained no threat as I showed when I pasted them here to a previous offer.

I even had a ticket where I asked twice for them to provide a working url to an announcement of theirs and they couldn’t even do that.

It’s really sad that I have to write this but as I stated after recommending them for over a year, I can no longer do so. Actually sad that I had done so.

    • Mike i don not want to restart the debate if we have different understanding about cancelling and not renewing for the they are just the same to **me**, say if i do not want to renew service i will cancel it (and the fact that it is just a week or so away from renewal)… it is just the same nothing wrong with it you are just sourgraping. If you were just nice with your requests we are happy to go out our ways helping you just like most people, i did even tried to make it up (if you felt your were given bad service) by offering some freebie then you call it bribery… i have nothing to do with you anymore mate you are something else.

The server you had with us had 2 or 3 emergency reboots in a year but they were handled properly with no data losses.

PS. do no make this thread another non ending debate as it will no go anywhere, enjoy your holiday :)

      • Roel, I was nice in my requests. Please kindly point out one single time I was rude in my support tickets. I feel I have been very polite in my discussion here at LEB until you starting going off on me. I have tried to discuss this matter with your management and you sir have been unwilling to pass along that request. You have also refused to answer any email that I sent you. You even lied and stated that I had threatened you. I was more than happy to copy and paste those emails to call you on your lie.

All I did was give a review and stated specially as to why I wasn’t going to renew my service with your company. You attacked me and tried to spin what I had stated. That’s why I went ahead and cancelled my service with your company. Your poor customer service.

You could have handled this so much better than you did. Instead you attacked at what was at that time a current customer, lied about it, and caused your company to lose that customer. You did that.

Since you refuse to pass along my request to get in contact with your management, I’ll go ahead and write up a Ratepoint view.

Roel, please have your management contact me.

I like QuickWeb, and there smooth operations. I wouldn’t judge the provider based on one users recommendation though, just a tip. You could be giving up a great option for your next hosting solution. Quickweb has provided us a premium solution, and we haven’t had one problem in the past 1 year, and 7 months of being with them. They have been amazing to us, They had one problem I believe about 4 months ago where a reboot was placed on the physical node and it had a little delay of bringing it back online and because of that they upgraded my VPS and gave me a credit, What other provider you know would just hand out that? When I was already using a VPS at a discounted price with one of their specials at the time, I believe it was around this time when I ordered my second server with them.

I recommend quickweb to anyone looking for a good, stable, and reliable VPS. I’ve had no issues with them, besides what I mentioned above, I actually received over a 100d uptime on my one server before I rebooted it for some work I was doing; other then that the support is very helpful and Roel, yet he is a busy guy as you can see, still cared to respond too my tickets within in a few hours to help me directly when I asked for his help or assistance. It’s a amazing service. I love QuickWeb; They host a lot of my projects and websites that make me a lot of nice income and that income would only be brought in if I was running them on a stable and powerful machine, and yet. I am…

Strange someone else is having problems… Hmm, not everyone can be pleased!

  7. My review of one of the best VPS providers in the community:

    http://www.96mb.com/96mb-low-end-vps-review-part-xxxxii-quickweb-budget-box-los-angeles/

I think overall the box is pretty solid, minor hiccups with the networks, but their attention to details is really second to none.
