Why no Ubuntu 14.04? Its been out now over 6 months and is the current LTS release. I was going to get one of these given the people behind it but no 14.04 is a show stopper given that’s my current OS of choice for what I had in mind.
They have both 32bit and 64bit Ubuntu 14.04 if you choose the 1GB OpenVZ box.
The offer above reads “Custom ISOs are also possible.”, so I believe you could just install Ubuntu 14.04 ISO if you order a KVM plan.

Yes, you can abuse the node with IO request, Network traffic, etc…
You should add context to that, someone might interpret it differently as it sounds like you allow such abuses.

Simple misunderstanding: I wasn’t asking if I can abuse the service, I was asking whether someone on a KVM node could cause disruption for other instances/users or that isn’t possible.

I know abuses are not allowed, just for example someone could take a screenshot of that comment to justify his abuses. :)
KVM still share some resources like network or disk speed, which can disturb other VMs on the same server if abused.

Back again I like my openvz server so much I decided to get a kvm for a windows server. So far of what I have found out the server was good the I/O not really worth your time if your windows :( . First the server is soo slow because of this bottle neck that any program when trying to run will always near crash. I tends to be slower then IDE hard drives. I love the HDD speeds on there openvz(about 120MB Read/Write) but on there kvm (node KVM4).
If anyone else has a kvm with these guys please tell us what your experience is like

Hello all,
I am back with good news. Today I got a email from there ticket system saying that i was abusing there i/o but I haven’t used the vm for a day and a half and there was nothing runnning on the vm besides the HDTunePro I left open. So i told them that and they moved me to a different node, node “kvm3” from “kvm4”. And now this windows server is useable for once I can now open programs without them crashing

Been using these for 2 months now, stepped in low and soon upgraded as I was impressed with both the service and hosting. I currently use 4 hosts for all the sites I manage and at the moment I would put anyone using these for average sites like wordpress. I won’t go further only on the basis that I know little about the company and their short life. Seem to be building a decent company.
Opps that should be “Would NOT put anyone off using these” perhaps the mod can change that line for me ?
wtf why my KVM always down
My VPS VM was suspended for “sending abuse emails” while i had almost nothing set up on it. I asked for more details, let’s see how this turns out.
checked blacklists, it’s not listed anywhere.
This is my first VPS. I have had it for maybe 4 months now. It’s been great, really.
I cannot comment on support as this is self managed, but I’m impressed with how it is all set up – and so far so good. If the offer is still on, I might be getting another in a little while.
