SSDVirt have only been featured on LowEndBox once, and that was in February 2013. As mentioned on that thread; Texan based SSDVirt are part of Garrison Network Solutions LLC, which has been running since 2010. They’re using Intel 520 SSDs in RAID 10 on a LSI 9266. The coupon also works with larger plans which are out of the LowEndBox price range. If you bought one of their previous servers, let us know what you think. You can view a fourth offer by clicking ‘more’.

SSDVirt accept payments via PayPal, Google Checkout, and Amazon Simple Pay. Their “unoffical” refund policy is to just to make the client happy. If it’s not possible, they will refund the client. They are looking to implement an official refund policy soon. All legal content except IRC servers and TOR exit nodes are allowed at their Dallas location. You can view their Acceptable Usage Policy and Terms of Service for more information.

  3. IRC clients are also not allowed?

    • John:

IRC clients are allowed as long as you don’t attract any issues.

I know it said no TOR exit nodes. But what about TOR hidden services? They are not exit nodes and are not vulnerable to any known TOR attacks. It’s just like a web server that allows access via a hidden service.

    • John:

TOR relays are allowed. The policy of IRC clients applies to TOR relays. As long as your server doesn’t cause any issues, we don’t have a problem with it.

Ok, I submitted a support ticket with Sales department. It did not allow me to order, flagging my order as fraud even though I didn’t even get to the checkout phase. I have no idea why I might have gotten flagged.

Oh that’s strange, I don’t know why that email address is bouncing. Ok, I made a new order with my alternate email address and got the same fraud issue. I submitted a support ticket.

All the issues were sorted out. I paid and got up and running on a VPS in minutes (literally). This is the first time that I felt like instead of waiting on support, support was constantly waiting on me (I was busy at work during the time I was signing up, so I wasn’t giving it my 100% attention).

Thankyou John for your support, and if there’s any more newsworthy reports, I’ll comment them here. But so far, everything seems to be running great.
