    Hi!
Beware, this host scammed a lot of people previously, there are a lot of bad reviews about them (they scammed me with a 20 $ vps, which was never ever alive)

    http://www.wjunction.com/showthread.php?t=59527&highlight=stablelayer
    http://www.wjunction.com/showthread.php?t=57838&highlight=stablelayer

    etc.
They scammed a lot of user, from shared to vps, they dropped every client!!!!!!

    • Thanks for the links. Indeed it looks like multiple incidents, and I did not do research properly before posting their offer here :) And the first link shows an obvious sockpuppeting. I now wonder whether the favourable comments above are all genuine.

    • Nothing mentioned on those WHT threads….

Although it;s interesting that someone sold the design for the site:

Also @drmike. That thread took place before the company was even founded. Nothing to do with StableLayer.

Just thought I`d comment on this. StableLayer actually has changed management since those incidents occurred. The old owner shut down his shared hosting service due to not being able to run that and a successful VPS company. You can though see in the first thread given etc that all issues were resolved.

In no way was anyone scammed.

  10. I signed up for a VPS annually and paid them the full amount. They actually were short stock on the VPS-3 plan I purchased so they did promptly email me asking if I could wait 12-24 hours for their new nodes and I told them I could not. They then actually refunded my money within a few minutes. Great job guys, was really happy with that.

I`ll be ordering from you guys in the future :) Was a tad worried they would try and keep the $150 sent but they promptly refunded me!

Cant really recommend this company. Even with the new management.
I had an NL VPS with a company they purchased. I had no problems untill they became Stablelayer.
I stuck with them. Despite problem after problem. Then I finally got a VPS after about 3-4 weeks of downtime. With all the problems they agreed to do VPS-2 in the NL for $10 a month. I then get given a USA IP address on the 13th Dec. I was then told they’ll have a new NL Node in a day or two. I kept on chasing them to move me to the NL box. They told me on the 25th Dec I’m now on the NL box. But no new IP was provided. logged into the VPS control panel. It was still USA. After a few more replys they accepted it was still in the USA and asked if I needed to keep any data on the USA box (I hadnt set anything up as USA boxes are no use at all to myself).
The ticket was then ignored and auto-closed. I then re-opened and asked whats happening after 3 days of nothing. The reply I got was:
Unfortunately our NL provider has doubled pricing for servers so unfortunately we cannot provide VPS-2 for less than $20 per month.”

Before that I had sent a payment for $10. And since the 31st I’ve asked for a refund twice of that payment and had nothing. Maybe posting here will encourage them to look at ticket 263369 and refund the transaction before I have to open a paypal dispute.

interesting Ian. I have never tried their NL hosting so can not really comment on that. Though their US vps hosting has been fine and have not had any troubles with the support yet.

I`ll update if I ever have any problems. so far host is about a 9/10 in my book.

I use the boxes to run Game Servers. So 30ms vs 130-200ms ping is what matters. But as a follow up I got a reply.

      “Hello,

Unfortunately at this time we can not process your refund. We will let you know once we will be able to if so.”

I guess the hardway it is!

that was the old owner who was on wjunction. He sold the company to this new owner who is only providing VPS services. Learn about the company before you decide to bash it.

hmm-sold it. Yeah, i remember – that is their favourite expression. Ace sold crypticvps, than Sysflis sold Stablelayer, to someone who was interested in a host that bought a scam host and became a scam itself – Wait – there is noone as stupid as that.
So i guess the “He sold it” and “There is a new management” is a fairy tale as it was always. They always used it as a cover to not refund and to not take consequences of scamming.

If you`d look a little harder you can clearly see it is not operated by the same people now. I have had a VPS with them for 2 weeks and have had no troubles at all. Every company has a wrong owner that does things wrong. I am glad though this company is in good hands now.

That is not a virus. It is showing that due to it being a javascript with no Author listed. That is part of the theme.

  21. Okay Sean. I think it is enough. Almost everyone has negative opinion on this provider except you. So I did a quick IP lookup, and found that you are commenting from the same IP address as originating IP of your recent email to me, trying offer some StableLayer.eu discount to get mentioned.

Anyway. Sockpuppeting. Astroturfing. Whatever — these are definitely not allowed here. I guess you know about that too, as one of your WHT account has been disabled.

By the way if anyone is still interested in the discount, promo code lowend50 gets you 50% off initial payment (non-recurring). Although I am betting on its chance to end up in the deadpool.
