LowEndBox - Cheap VPS, Hosting and Dedicated Server Deals

TheServerExperts - $5.95 OpenVZ 512MB VPS

Updated February 2011: See this comment. TheServerExperts (aka the BurstNet reseller despite their denial) is now out of business, and have their website unresolvable on 20 Feb. FAIL!

TheServerExperts.com Via this WHT offer. TheServerExperts.com, a company based in Aruba in the Caribbean and has been in business in 2001 (according to about us page), has recently announced some cheap OpenVZ VPS plans, starting from $5.95/month. You get

  • 512MB guaranteed memory
  • 20GB storage
  • 1000GB/month data transfer
  • 1GHz CPU gauranteed
  • OpenVZ/VePortal

Servers are located in Scranton with BurstNET/HostNOC, in direct competition with BurstNET’s OpenVZ/vePortal VPS plan. In fact I would be surprised if they are not just reselling BurstNET’s service. So when things fall apart there will be two layers to get through (not that BurstNET is super responsive according to some WHT threads). At least these guys are TheServerExperts… Maybe. What the heck are they thinking when hosting both their NS on the same cPanel box (with Ezzi in NY though).

  1. Hello,

Just wanted to point out that we are not a reseller, we rent/lease our own private racks inside Scranton datacenter (Burstnet) We also rent/lease space from New york datacenter AccessITx (EZZInet)

We have been in business for over 8 years, nothing is going ti fall apart.

    But thanks for the plug.

    Have a nice day.

I am afraid everything has fallen apart and you were nothing more than a reseller. All VPS’s have been pulled down leaving customers stranded with no communications of what happened. All emails and phone calls have gone un-answered, however your billing system is still operatioanl and sending out invoices and applying late fees. I suggest people never deal with these guys again and the people associated with it. They can atleast update their website with what has happened.

Erm, you might be interested in knowing that you misspelled ‘Experts’ in the title.

  4. Hmmm, just noticed they use the same test IP address as BurstNet does: 66.96.192.92. Of course so are a lot of other folks but it would be a plus to test these separate racks.

They did answer presales questions rather quickly. That’s a plus.
