Updated November 2011: Kerplunc has turned off all its web-hosting related business including TinyVPS.ca. It’s now in the dead pool.

TinyVPS.ca TinyVPS.ca is a new website from Kerplunc, the company behind SuperBytes. The plan starts at $5/month. Actually, there is only one plan at TinyVPS.ca, and you get:

  • 64MB guaranteed/128MB burstable memory
  • 5GB storage
  • 50GB/month data transfer
  • OpenVZ/SolusVM

Data center is at Toronto, Ontario Canada Datacenter. So it is a good alternative for those looking for cheap Canadian virtual servers.

Moreover, you can use the exclusive coupon code TINYLOWENDBOX to get 20% off — that’s $4/month for this VPS.

The original owner of LowEndBox known as "LowEndAdmin" or "LEA" for short founded LowEndBox in 2008 and created the concept of hosting applications on low resource "Low End Boxes". After creating the roots of the community that we know today, "LEA" stepped aside and allowed others to carry the torch forward.

  1. Mike:

Data center is actually in Hamilton, Ontario. 100+ km difference.

Gave Kerplunc a chance accordingly, but behind the Kerplunc simplistic design, appealing for a first shot at VPS, the same portal as so many provider. Plus, I didn’t feel safe after I issued a ticket when reading Matt blog.
Great price, but that was it only.

My kerplunc vps under this plan stopped working and no reply from their support in over 24 hours. Webhostingtalk is showing bad rep for them.
