I got a little vps with VirMach (LA location) about a month ago purely for backing up another vps.
In the short time I’ve been with them it has been positive. My vps was setup immediately, and it has been up and running, backing up my other vps everyday.

    • If you’re looking at the SSD512 plan, you could (1) order it monthly and use a different coupon code that we post on our advertisement on LEB. It should bring it to about $2.80 per month. Or (2) you could order it and if you’re not satisfied within 24 hours, request a refund, and that could be like “trying” it as you said.

I was interested in their $9 OVZ plan in Phoenix, but their long fraud censorship just pushed me away… After 30 mins sending photos not only through ticket but also through my edu account, so boring experience, I just quieted at that moment.

Their VirMach account can be seen everythere in LET, is it a gesture to be trusted that they are not going to run away?

Don’t konw too much about their service quality. If there is a Phoenix or LA location, I may go for a try.

SSD1G KVM with Windows looks really interesting!

    – Is it possible to add some cheap (can be non-SSD) storage, 100GB for example? At what price?
    – And I don’t expect it now but would it be possible to add 500GB or 1TB transfer in the future if need be? At what prices?

    Thanks.

    • Storage on these plans is SSD only. The largest cost on these servers is actually the SSDs, so adding 100GB would be quite expensive, but we can quote you if you make a ticket. Standard bandwidth overage rate is $5/M for 500GB. You could actually save money by upgrading from the 1GB to 2GB plan, if you require more bandwidth.

As for more disk space, we can give you a custom quote for 100GB on our SSD-cached servers if you create a ticket with us.

How much disk space does your Windows installation require? The smallest I’ve seen is around 12GB + the page file.

    November 8, 2015 @ 6:09 am | Reply
    • About 9GB. While Microsoft does recommend more for all the features to be used and such, we have a lot of customers with 15GB disk that have not reported any issues.

    Hello,
I want to use VirMach SSD512 for openssl server to use streamings from US. It could be possible? It would be reliable? It would be 4 concurrent users at maximum in peak hours, but normally 1 or 2.

    Cheers,

The templates are mostly outdated, you can’t mount your own ISO, ISOs provided are CentOS 5 and Debian 7 x86. If you want to install other x86_64 OS, you probably should reinstall to CentOS 7 x86_64 and then unmount swap partition, make it ext4 partition, chroot and shit.

stay away from this vps. after receiving payment for one year the suspended my vps after 1 week, wont offer refund and wont re-activate the server. they are nothing but scammers. stay far away from these scammers

    December 9, 2015 @ 3:10 am | Reply
    • We handle suspensions based on our terms of service. If you got suspended that quickly, it probably means you were heavily abusing the service. Re-activation is offered if you are cooperative and if the abuse did not cause severe issues. We do not offer refunds in cases of abuse because that would encourage further abuse.

After 3 days my windows VPS is unusable, very slow, cannot remote desktop and no one answered the ticket.

In the mean time stay away from them. Is this why they only offer 24 hours refund policy?

    January 29, 2016 @ 4:21 am | Reply
    • Tickets are answered in an average time of 3 hours. On Sundays, we have limited support. We never leave a technical issue unresolved. I do apologize for the late response here but we do not monitor this page – always contact us directly for support.

To echo the above comment, my server had to be rebooted after 3 days and has not come back up. They do not reply to my tickets and my website control panel keeps timing out so I can’t even see the status of the server nor perform any of the remote functions on it.

It started out very promisingly – the server was created in minutes and was quick and performant whist I was using it.

Purely based upon the last few days, I would steer clear of VirMach

    April 9, 2016 @ 2:29 pm | Reply
    • I believe you made this comment while we were under heavy attacks. I do apologize for not being able to use remote functions. This only lasted for a brief period of time while we mitigated the attacks. As for your server rebooting, that may be a separate issue, but it may have just been due to the control panel being down (if it was rebooted/booted during attacks)

    UNABLE TO OPEN A TICKET!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    April 17, 2016 @ 2:07 am | Reply
    • This was an issue with people using our ticketing system on low-resolution displays, due to our CSS. We have since moved the buttons to the top of the screen so this should no longer be an issue.

You can always send an e-mail to support@virmach.com if you cannot use our ticket system.

      May 26, 2016 @ 8:33 pm | Reply
  21. Vakanth:

I want to tell all the people here. It is a cheater. You can not open a ticket untill it’s three days later. Whatever you write in a ticket, it shows “Your ticket appears to be about a common issue. Please check our knowledgebase before submitting a ticket, to help lower our ticket volume and allow us to give faster responses”. While the refund date is just within 24hours,so it is impossible for you to get you refund.

What’s more, when I use the VPS for just a few hours,my vps is suspended. It said I use up my server’s bandwidth.I did not download any big file ,then my 500GB was gone. Are you kidding me? Then I found I just had the right to open ticket, and it is three days later. But the support ticket tell me nothing about why the bandwidth usage is so high and just request me to purchase more bandwidth. It’s $5 for 500GB and I can just use it for three days.It means if I want to use the VPS nomally,I would have to pay extra $600 for it?

The service is so terrible and I recommend everyone not to buy it.Or you will regret for this.

    April 26, 2016 @ 2:31 am | Reply
    • We do not prevent you from opening tickets for three days. That message shows if your ticket matches keywords in our knowledgebase. You just have to click “Submit” under that message to continue to submit. It does not prevent you from making a ticket.

As for your VPS being suspended due to bandwidth limit, our SolusVM panel correctly monitors bandwidth. Did you set a secure password for your service?

Purchasing bandwidth can be done as a one-time or monthly basis, meaning you could purchase additional bandwidth on a monthly basis. If you are using 500GB of bandwidth per 3 days, you would need 5TB of bandwidth per month and we can provide that to you at a bulk rate if you create a ticket. It would not be $600 per month. But I would recommend first taking a look to make sure your VPS was not compromised in any way. We can assist you in resetting your VPS or taking a look to see if there was any suspicious activity.
