I just got one Value+ but can not get to solusvm. Seems your web is pretty much overloaded (getting “connection timeout” all the time). Will try later…

      update:
It seems Virmach is sending wrong instructions (or moved in between Solus from 5656 to default port). In email I received there is :

      SolusVM Control Panel:
      https://solusvm.virmach.com:5656/login.php

But it seems right now SolusVM control panel is running on default port (80)…

    • We’re receiving a large number of orders and a lot of new VMs are getting created. We will probably also receive DDoS attacks aimed at us, as we usually do when we post offers, but I’m pretty confident in our protection. You may see some brief Cloudflare errors. As for the incorrect welcome e-mail, I apologize. We updated all links in the billing area and we updated e-mails a few days ago but we must have missed one. I believe this has been corrected.

Glad to hear you got a Value+ with us – it’s a great deal. It’s limited quantity, so anyone interested in the Value+ should order one before it’s sold out.

Had you made that Elite+ for 10$/y, I’d rather went for it. 512MB@5$/y is nice, but 1GB@10$/y would be nicer!

BTW, listing the most interesting offer as the last one, that’s just smart! ;-)

          • Jarry, I’ll keep this in mind for future sales. Yes I made sure this was featured last so only the people who read the full offer get it, since it was limited stock. It’s better than placing it first and people just get mad they can’t get it because it’s sold out.

I tried to order one of the Value+ ones for $5/year, and it showed the total correctly with the coupon applied, but then when I went to pay via bitcoin, it charged me $21. I didn’t pay it. The amount on the invoice in the Billing area is also $21.

I tried to see if it would let me place another new order to try again, but it says the promotion code has already been used.

    Order #38365.

    • Promotion use 100/100. Sorry, looks like it’s already sold out for that code.

      • David:

No problem, please cancel the service/invoice for $21, then. It would have made more sense to just give an “out of stock” error message than to let you order it at $5, and then charge $21, though.

        July 5, 2016 @ 1:28 pm | Reply
        • Please create a ticket in billing department. We do not give priority to comments on LEB. If you didn’t pay for it, it should auto-cancel within 2 days. Our system doesn’t give an “out of stock” message because the plan isn’t out of stock. The promotion code has simply reached the limit. I’ve contacted Ishaq to modify the offer to include that the offer is sold out so people are not confused. I apologize for the inconvenience.

You do receive an error message that the promotion wasn’t properly applied when you try to enter it.

There’s no current plans to restock the promotion code.

    • The Los Angeles IPs belong to ColoCrossing. We’re working with them to fix the geolocation on these. That doesn’t mean that our Los Angeles location isn’t Los Angeles. The IP is just registered to ColoCrossing, which is based in New York. If you’re unsatisfied with the geolocation, you can request a refund.

I did create a ticket for the Billing department, but I also posted here since it said it may take 24 hours and I thought time was of the essence since the deal might expire.

For what it’s worth, I received no error messages. The promo code was correctly applied to the order and the total showed $5. Then I clicked to pay (via bitpay), and it’s a good thing I checked the fine print, because it had charged me $21 instead of the $5 on the previous order screen.

    July 5, 2016 @ 4:39 pm | Reply
    • You will not receive any message if you click the direct link. It will apply the coupon if it’s available. However, it will tell you that it’s $21/mo and then on the checkout page it also says $21/mo, with a field for adding promotional codes. If you enter the code “LEB2016V” it will give you an error that the promotional code is already used.

I know it’s not the best error code and I apologize it doesn’t automatically display it by you clicking the link with the coupon in it, but we didn’t code this system. It’s WHMCS. You can request them to change it or add it as a feature here: https://requests.whmcs.com/ – but I’ll speak with our developer and see if we can get a custom script to make it less confusing when ordering with coupons. I do apologize for the misunderstandings. If your total showed as $5 and then by the time you clicked BitPay it switched to $21 or something strange like that happened, I can take a look and honor the promotion for you. Before everyone starts making tickets claiming this, please note this offer is only for David. Please reply to the ticket with additional information confirming you’re David, if you’re interested in continuing the purchase for $5.

    • Anyone who plans to break our terms of service please listen to this person and do not bother purchasing a plan from us. If you abuse the service and it causes type for us to deal with your abuse, you will be charged a $15 fee PER service – not $12 for 12 services.

However rest assured we will not suspend you for “only using for VPN” and we will usually not charge you a fee for suspension if it was a mistake, if you didn’t cause problems for other users on the server you’re on, or if you cooperate with us in resolving your issue that caused you to break our terms. In a lot of cases where people have bad experiences, they order 10+ servers and then run traffic exchange on all of them at the same time, which uses a lot of CPU and most important a lot of I/O, which makes the performance poor for everyone on the server. We take swift action to make sure we suspend these people so they do not negatively affect our other customers. If you plan on overloading the server, order a dedicated server from us and you can overload the disk and CPU as much as you want because the only person you’re affecting is yourself. But if you plan on ordering bulk numbers of VPS services, expect us to keep the server running smooth for all of our customers if you’re negatively affecting it by breaking our terms.

As they say they really seem to get DDOSed. The client panel is incredibly slow (almost a minute to post a ticket) and the response time to my VPS has gone threefold 15 hours ago.

    July 16, 2016 @ 7:02 pm | Reply
    • We’re not getting DDoSed. For approximately one day, the client area loaded slowly due to one of our modules misbehaving. We have since removed the module and upgraded to the latest version of WHMCS. The response time of your VPS going up is a separate unrelated issue that you should create a technical support ticket for so we can properly assist you.

Even my electricity bill with the power company would even notify you days ahead of a due date, even with automatic payments enabled, that you were being auto-debited. Car insurance companies do the same thing!

The only notification I got was a payment was made which when you sign up, it automatically subscribes you which I see relatively common with summerhosts like ComBozo.

    • The fact of the matter is that the majority of our customers prefer automatic billing over manual payments. If you contact us, we can disable automatic billing. When you sign up, you are notified of the subscription – and you may opt out if you’re using credit/debit card.

As for the notifications: you do not receive an e-mail if you pay with PayPal I believe, and this is a built-in feature to the payment module we use. This is so customers are not confused – a huge issue was customers forgetting they’re on a subscription, and then manually making a payment when they saw the billing notification. This caused the customer to pay, and then be billed automatically on our old system. So if your theory of us being interested in taking people’s money was correct, we would have left it on the old system. But that’s not true. We improved our system to make it easier and less confusing on everyone.

  35. ‘scam scam don’t buy from VirMach!’
Paid but service still pending. I open a ticket, but there’s no reply. There’s just like no staff activity on the VirMach site. I regret it order from them without read the comments about the lack of professional service from the VirMach’s administrator.

    • Without having any information, I cannot pull anything up to see how our staff handled the situation. However I can assure you that if your service was still pending, it may just be a rare case of our automatic provisioning system failing for various reasons.

And I can also assure you that you received a response. Last week was a little bit busy so if it was a billing issue or an issue like that, it may have taken slightly longer to be escalated.

  36. I another problem with Virmach
Every Month I face VPS gone, until I make Ticket.
Whenever invoice came, immediately I made payment.
But my invoice status still unpaid, even I make screenshot of paypal receipt to prove them.
They shutdown my VPS without notice, and ticket only reply from support,
but not from billing dept. and my invoice remain unpaid status.

Yes, they are cheap and good,
But give hard time every month on our VPS, we can not access for 1-3 days.

    • I was able to pull up your account. You opened a dispute with PayPal. Once this was resolved, your service was re-instated within half an hour.

I also do not see you creating a ticket every month. You have not been a customer for that long, and your oldest ticket is 20 days old and unrelated to billing. The two other tickets were created in the same day and both had to do with you opening a PayPal dispute.

  42. Yesterday i ordered Elite+ OpenVZ plan. Price is so cheap as compared to others. Received SolasVM control panel instant. I’m pretty confused whether there network port 100 Mbit or 1Gbps. I got download speed around 400kbps-850kbps. Overall I’m satisfied . Thank you all.

Got the Elite+ OpenVZ yesterday, and it’s been perfect so far. I don’t really have any complaints, though I’m not a heavy user by any means. The web control panel is surprisingly nice, better than most I’ve used.
And damn, for the price of $2 a month, I think I’ll be keeping this forever; there’s absolutely no reason to cancel.
