VPSCheap.net have been featured four times before since September 2011. They’re a registered INC in the state of Illinois. On their last post, in July 2012, they offered the 128MB OpenVZ yearly plan for $18 – $8 more than what they’re offering the same plan for today. Reviews on that thread are mixed – so take a look for yourself when deciding. Their nodes are using a mix of e3-1230, e3-1270, e5-2620 CPUs and have at least 4 WD Black drives in Raid 10 (ARECA port controller). They have their own direct allocation of ipv4 & ipv6 addresses through ARIN. The offers are exclusive to LowEndBox and are also limited in stock.

VPSCheap.net provide rdns for both IPv4 & IPv6 but you will need to open a ticket at their helpdesk to add or ammend. They accept payments via paypal and google checkout. VPSCheap offer a 30 day money back guarantee on all of their vps servers (excluding control panel fees such as cPanel & DirectAdmin). Torrents and Tor are strictly forbidden but, as usual, for more information you can view their Terms of Service.

Network Information:

All of their Nodes are collocated within their own racks at the Equinix datacenter in Chicago, USA.

Test IPv4: 199.175.48.3

I subscribed to Offer #1. Provisioned immediately. Opened a support ticket to get IPv6 addresses : got 2 with 1mn. Same for rDNS. Very quick and efficient tech support…

I am currently running some tests. Will share as soon as it’s finished.

    • I have got the $10/year vps. I didn’t really need one, but thought “10 Mbit/s Unmetered” bandwidth was too good an offer to pass. I got the vps instantly after I paid the invoice through paypal. I haven’t done anything serious on it (tests like dd or benchmark type are not something I’m interested in), but the system feels responsive.

  17. 10 mbit/s = 1 – 1.25 MBPS !
Should take $12/Year from ChicagoVPS. Why to take a garbage paying $2 less ?? Also there is doubt that how the promo ended where only one order placed ?? Have they been selected here to promote themselves only, not to give Service ??

        • Hello Nagib,

No we are not a regular poster here on the forums but we have decided to release a promotion to the LEB community. As it is stated in the original post by Liam both offers were limited stock and they got sold out quick. We have also confirmed this later by posting at posted in response to the question
“The $10/year plans are sold out unfortunately
We will release some more in the upcoming weeks”

I am also wondering why did you find our service to be “garbage”. Are you have you been our customer in the past and if so what bad experiences have you had?

          February 11, 2013 @ 8:36 am | Reply
        • Sorry for my bad words. But, you didn’t even reply to any of the comments above & also your plan sold out so fast but only 1 comment, this made me furious. Sorry for that. You should capable to provide a mentionable number of order, not like 5/10.

I’ve used it long enough and start thinking of moving, they are very slow at certain times, and they are also very chatty, forcing me to remove content just because my page I link to files in file sharing sites.

In some other vps it is not infringement, because the file is the responsibility of the third party, so if you want to create a site that would probably do the same thing, you should use the other.

Disturbingly bad services @ VPSCheap.net. They are not informing people about problems with server, after few days they informs you that all data is gone and offering same lousy VPS. Like they are offering their services for free. No thanks, i would rather throw few bucks in trash, than use VPSCheap again. Unreliable.

  33. AFPL:

Same experience as MotorHead – fuck vpscheap.net. They lost ALL OF THE DATA on a server, and instead of offering a refund or a discount or EVEN A PROACTIVE FUCKING APOLOGY, I had to find out that my VPS was offline. When I questioned why I couldn’t boot it they told me that they’d lost the data. Assholes, I hope their shitty company burns to the ground.

I have been with them for over a year and never had any trouble. But if there were a data loss event-which can happen anywhere, it would not be a problem as I backup important files.

Is there any vps company that has been around 3-years that offers more bang for the buck?
