Nice VPS, I have one vps at WhyNOTaVPS over 12 months. recommend!
Thanks for your feedback Tom :)
Awesome!!
Asim, I replied on your created ticket.
Well, that’s interesting.
The link to their TOS and AUP link to the same page.
Also it’s unclear to which law they prefer to operate. The contact info on the domain name doesn’t link to a Dutch chamber of commerce-number. Seems it’s more likely that they prefer the German law.
I’m with them last year.
Great service and great server :)
what web panel did you install?
please make a clue.
thanks
As usual, no web/control panel.
Just simple ssh configration for Lighttpd + MySQL + PHP at that time.
Now I’m switching some my vps for running NginX.
Some still using Lighttpd but for private purpose :)
Shame it is only one core, but seems people are impressed!
Hi Paul, full access to once CPU core on a Quad Core is for most applications more then enough. Would you like to benchmark it otherwise?
How about IPv6 is available ??
I’ve been with WhyNotAVPS for over a year. Took a similar deal to get started. At first I wasn’t too sure, it’s a bit of a silly name. But for a VPS I use daily for over a year: no downtime whatsoever. That’s pretty impressive. I never comment on these things, but for these results I make an exception.
Terrible support, it’s been 3 days since I bought my server and I still can’t ssh to it. They never replied to my support tickets. :\
Did you use a fake mail address maybe? I just ordered one, payed by PayPal and got the confirmation Mail not 5 minutes after that. I can also already SSH to the Server. Only downside: Wrong OS installed, but I can just reinstall it with SolusVM control panel.
DO NOT TRUST this VPS provider!!!!
I had a vps at them, now I canceled my subscription. They ignored it, and they are still sending me invoice. They do not reply to emails. I opened sales ticket, support ticket, sent emails, but they did not reply since a few weeks.
Do not order anything from them!
Bence, their response time is not the fastest when it comes to billing and sales, but their service was ONE OF THE BEST the last time I used them (about a year ago). Network/uptime/performance – no issues at all.
I actually needed to contact them only for plan upgrades.
Ok, you can say the sales team is slow, but…
I made a little test. I asked somebody to contact the sales team and ask something about ordering.
He did it and the sales team answered in four days.
BUT: my question was sent many days before this another question. And my question is not yet answered.
So, I can see that they do not care about service canceling. The just want to have the monthly bill paid even if you do not use the vps because of cancelation.
So: be aware with them!
Bence, did you cancelled your VPS from their client area (WHMCS) – did they terminated your service as “cancelled” ?
Their terms of service says: “Requests for canceling accounts must be made in writing with at least 14 days notice and sent to sales@WhyNOTaVPS.com…”. So, I did it in email. Because it says: MUST BE MADE IN WRITING. Not in the client area.
Long story, but after seeing that they do not care about it, I did the same on the client are. Repeat: this is NOT the way to cancel according to the TOS. They did not reply anything even for this cancelation method.
Today, after sending emails, opening tickets, using a friend’s tricky trap, finally they canceled my service and deleted the invoice. I will never use their services in the future.
Their servers are good but oh boy support is terrible. No wonder they don’t have managed VPS. Coz clients will last only till they have to contact support. I used them for near 2 years and all was good till had to use their support.
