LowEndBox - Cheap VPS, Hosting and Dedicated Server Deals

XenPower - $15.99/quarter 1GB/200GB and $20.05/quarter 2GB/400GB Xen VPS in Milan, Italy

Salvatore, from Prometeus, is back with some awesome new products for this XenPower brand! XenPower offers high-resource servers for a very reasonable price. This time, they are offering server with a lot of disk space, which are perfect to function as backup servers. XenPower was started because Salvatore once purchased the domain (xenpower.com) and still hadn’t done anything with it. What better to do with it than offer some great Xen servers! These servers are hosted on a host node with dual Intel E5-2620v2 CPUs, 192GB of RAM and 12x 4TB SATA hard drives in RAID6! RAID6 is a little bit slower than RAID10 but allows for more disk space to be used, hence the competitive pricing on these offers. XenPower happens to be Prometeus’ first deployment of servers with SATA disks (all others are SAS, SSD, or SAN) and I have to say, the speed is very good! We all know Prometeus: most reviews are very positive, support is fast, and the customer always comes first! Please share your own experiences with XenPower in the comments!

    Is it possible to purchase more bandwidth (and how much)? I think the XP-XL may need more

    May 28, 2014 @ 2:00 am | Reply
    • Maounique:

      Yes, it is possible. It costs 5 Eur for 2 TB extra as an add-on, it can be one time or yearly (2 TB a month, for 12 months, 60 Eur), but any left unused at the end of the month will be lost.
      As for 1 month trials, these are cheaper than the old line when it had 25% discount, we try to limit abuse.

    I’m interested in the XP-XXL listed at http://www.xenpower.com. Is it possible to get a one month order? I prefer to soak-test for a month before committing to a quarter or a year. Thanks

      Hello!

      We are using Xen-PV not Xen-HVM, therefore ISO is not supported, the only place where own ISO is possible, is http://www.iwstack.com which uses KVM.

    Any offers for your Pune? Would be interested if you had the same offers there.

      Pune is not so great, the network is worse there as it is India. Also, the logistics are more difficult, we didnt even put it in Dallas.
      You fell more secure when you control the datacenter.
      That being said, it is not excluded. We will try Dallas first, if ever.

    Any way to buy additional space to use as remote backup?

      Unfortunately, no, it already looks like some ram will remain unused, the first batch is almost full and some 1-2 GB RAM will remain unusable. There must have been some calculation error.
      If demand will remain strong, a reserve server will be put into production, so far still cancelling unpaid orders and terminating abusers, so it will last a few more hours.

    Hello!

    The batch we had for this offer is sold out. We will continue to take orders until the next server is ready, but this last one is not added yet, we kept it in reserve to the last minute to decide if to dedicate to this offer or not, but, since it sold too fast, we feel we have to.
    We will add more stock to buy, but setup time will be longer, 24 hours at most. This server will also have some capacity set aside for upgrades and old customers we cannot ask to wait 3 months for new stock. I am sorry for this situation.

      Provisioned all orders received so far. If you still do not have your server, please check ticket area, there is a problem with your order. Usually address or phone number are not correct.

      Xenpower and OVerZold are our budget lines XenPower is specifically designed to replace medium and large memory OVZ for a few reasons:
      1. The CPU is much better shared by Xen and gives predictable performance all the time;
      2. Many people need more disk and less RAM, it might be counter intuitive to give more disk with Xen, but as you probably know, XenPower is based on SATA while OVerZold on short stroke sas or SAN storage which is way more expensive per TB;
      3. OVZ is much less stable (almost all problems we had with instability come from OVZ) AND Xen is more versatile (own kernel, enough said).

      That being said, we have a lot of people ordering and abandoning the order, even ordering some other model. This means the stock remains locked and we have tens of GB locked like this while the stock is low. As such, starting tomorrow, all orders not paid within first 2 hours will be cancelled and stock released. Right now the wait time is 2 days.

    How much are extra IPv4?

    June 6, 2014 @ 2:19 am | Reply
    • Maounique:

      12 Eur a year for the budget plans. We have also customized KVMs which can have the IPs paid monthly and the iwstack cloud where you pay by the hour, but, in general, IPs are rented by the year to prevent abuse.

    Would not recommend, Prometeus.net / IperWeb.com / OverZold.com

    Closed my account and would not even allow me
    to BackUp my account after more than 2-Years of
    paying them with punctuality on time ever time !

    When I mention that I would post to LowEndBox.com
    about it is when they terminated my account from suspended
    to terminated, very NAZI-Like / GOD-Like attitude, STAY AWAY !
