Chris from xenSmart emailed me that they have recently launched a new Xen HVM promotion, almost a year since they launched HVM-based products (also seen on WHT). Use promo code HVM30 to get 30% off on their Xen HVM VPS. Their low end Xen HVM plan starts from £3.50/month (~USD$5.79). Direct sign up link.
- 128MB memory
- 10GB storage
- 150GB/month data transfer
- Xen/SolusVM
As it’s Xen HVM which means you can install FreeBSD, NetBSD or OpenSolaris on it. Windows installations do require your own license though. Servers in UK with RapidSwitch (test IP: 95.154.246.177). They are also currently having 40% off their Xen PV plans when you use promo code CLEAROUT40 (via this WHT offer), which makes the equivalent Xen PV plan just £3/month. Well, that’s just about 1 pound cheaper than 2 years ago when they were first listed here.
Domain has been registered for 2.5 years, and part of “PC Smart Hosting” that has been around for 5+ years. Still running both NS on the same box…

Good company but very expensive, I would recommend vooservers, similar hosting but cheap :P

+1 For Voo.
LOL. That was the easter egg of the day from LowEndBox — just like many previous posts that contain deliberate mistakes to make sure you guys are paying attention while reading through the posts here.
Sorry no prize for the first person spotting the mistake.
How about a hug? :P
Cookies! please :P
I used them for 3-4 months. Pretty reliable!
Quite expensive!
Been with them for 10 months now, service has been excellent! Not the cheapest indeed, but it pays back in reliability.
“Not the cheapest indeed, but it pays back in reliability.” The most sensible thing I’ve read in a while!
Actually got my VM for £2.50/mo because of a special “lifetime 50% off” campaign. Not bad at all.
Service seems fast and good, they gave me an IP I could ping to test for latency, and after I signed up I requested they add an .ISO for me, and they did it in 5 minutes.
The control panel system is the best I’ve seen so far, you can use VNC to view the console (e.g. to install a new OS), reboot etc., Change boot order, network card, enable/disable APIC, ACPI, and PAE, mount one of the 100+ ISOs, change hostname, view networking settings, configure reverse DNS, view statistics, etc.
