Jacob from XenSpec is back with another exclusive offer for the Low End Box community on their KVM VPS and Dedicated Servers. XenSpec was last featured on Low End Box in March 2020.
Their WHOIS is public (confirmed domain creation date in 2017) and you can find their ToS/Legal Docs on their website. They accept PayPal, Bitcoin, and Credit/Debit cards via Stripe as payment methods. Alipay and WeChatPay will also be accepted in the near future.
Here’s what they had to say:
“XenSpec is a hosting company founded in 2017, with locations in both Chicago and Los Angeles. We provide Dedicated Servers, Colocation, VPS, and Custom Solutions. Our goal is to provide our services with the best possible support to all our customers! Our Chicago location is based out of CoreSite’s CH1 datacenter, and our Los Angeles location is based in CoreSite’s LA1 facility. These diverse locations allow us to provide minimal latency to customers in the Midwest United States, and the West Coast / Asia.
We’re primarily known for our excellent and speedy support services. All servers and VPSes in these offers include a high tier of support services, guaranteed to keep our customers in good hands.
Our VPS services are all KVM based, and are hosted on high performance E5-2670v2 servers. VPS storage is completely SSD based, and resides on a high performance/redundant Ceph cluster backend.”

How many Monthly Transfer for Chicago Custom VPS?
Thanks
Hello pingone!
We have a fair-use policy for these VPSes. We don’t specify an exact amount of monthly transfer, and we do allow bursting. In the case of prolonged periods of high utilization, we’ll reach out first to let you know of your usage.
Let us know if you have any other questions, we’ll be happy to answer them.
I am really surprised that your LA server offers a direct link to CERNET (based on MTR to 20 Uni).
Can you confirm this is not a result of dynamic route selection?
If this is a supported feature, you should advertise it.
There will be university students from China who will be interested in these affordable products.
Hi Zack,
We don’t have direct links to CERNET, we do however have links to several Chinese providers. Our list of providers in Los Angeles is NTT, GTT, Comcast, China Unicom, China Mobile, and China Telecom (CN2).
You are always putting great stuff. I really appreciate that and follow your blogs. Thanks for updating such a wonderful information.
Thanks

Can vps be updated ? More ram or vcpu? with discount of course.
Hello!
We prefer that a new VPS product be purchased and the data be migrated, in order to maintain consistency and not have issues. Upgrades are possible however, you’d just have to open a support ticket for us to verify the billing details and change the specifications.
Do you offer some trial for vps? Like for 2 days so I can see if performance is good?
Hello!
Thank you for your inquiry, please open a ticket and our sales staff should be able to assist you.
i have server with xenspec from last few months and i have to say their support, network has been top-notch. i highly recommended XenSpec.
Hi Lokesh!
