Mark from XVPS emailed me yesterday about some of the new development they got. Besides Seattle and France, they have recently deploy VPS nodes in Chicago with ServerCentral and are giving LowEndVPS readers 12% off recurring discount with promo code LOWEND2010. So for $6.60/month you can get the following package in Chicago:
- 256MB guaranteed/512MB burstable memory
- 30GB storage
- 400GB/month data transfer on 1Gbps
- OpenVZ/SolusVM
Servers in Seattle and France are cheaper at $5.72/month after the discount.

Lucky me, got their Chicago node with Seattle price below $6 per month :D
I am their reseller, after one month used. My client was fine with their server. At the first several days, their server was getting a littlt attack, but after that everything was working well. My clent had renewed.
Good luck for everybody, Mark was nice boy.
signed up for the 24-hour trial and after 6 hours, haven’t heard of the trial server yet.
turnleft,
We were waiting for an IP block to be added to the node we’re currently using for France trials, new orders are being activated now. :)
Sounds like Delimiter all over again
@Anonymous, What’s wrong with Delimiter? I have one with them since January, only got 15 minutes downtime for 6 six months, and it was Cogent issue not node issue.
ServerCentral or SingleHop? There’s a little bit of a difference :-)
Still, gigabit-powered VPSes = win.
Robtex shows AS23352 (Server Central Network) for their Chicago test IP.
rwhois says StreamGuys has the /24.
@Hasanul Delimter are fine now, but before they were bought they were a mess. This guy is the same guy who started Delimiter
Anonymous,
As explained in the previous post, we employ the same design/marketing freelancer who designed Delimiter, but there is no relation beyond that. I have been involved with VPS hosts before XVPS, but neither of them were Delimiter. :)
Offer over?
i have order 3 vps, but i have always down time !!!
i order vps on seattle location !!!
this make my bussiness is broken !!!!
Their web site is certainly down at the moment. Still resolving, but not connecting.
Bad luck to me too, I have 2 reseller vps on Seattle and they have downtime more then 4 hours.
Any one have been try chicago server ? Is same like seattle ?
About the site — our main webserver is having some issues (drive failure); we’re getting everything restored now and the site should be back online tonight. (SolusVM servers and the VPS clusters are unaffected.)
Unfortunately our mail goes through that server as well, until it’s back our support can be reached at xvpsusa@gmail.com (or chat via AIM/MSN/Google Talk, same email address).
@Mark — just get a small VPS on your other location as a backup MX, and sync the necessary configuration files (aliases, virtual mappings, etc) on regular basis. That’s a good use of a low end box, isn’t it? :)
So now posible to manage vps from solusvm ? No overload?
I think you must count how many vps on one node!
Thanks
Yes, the Seattle vps was back onlie 6 hours ago. but their homesite http://xvps.us/ was still down.
My VPS is on France nodes, didn’t experience any downtime at all… But, i need to add, speed is much slower(~4mbps) than test drive speed (~18mbps)…
Its the same as when this guy started Delimiter. Great start then overselling and downtime, downtime, downtime, downtime.
The Seattle node has down for 24 hours, no reply form xpvs. I have send them the emails.
@Lupetalo — If you’re really getting only ~4mbps consistently, you should open a ticket for transfer to another node. Typically we ensure that each client in a node’s population can achieve at least 15-25mbps, on the 1gbit servers.
‘Anonymous’ — We are operating many nodes with 99.99-100% uptime; there are, as always, one or two exceptions–mostly one, in Seattle–and those affected are talking about it here, while the 98% remainder are no longer reading low-end VPS ads. :)
Yes, they have come back and helping me to transfer to another node, Chicago.
Everything is up and running… @Mark: Ok, but I will wait couple of weeks (since i am generally happy with service) when I order 1 year account and then if speed fall down I will contact support…
Less than 2mbit speeds. Very poor.
@ Anonymous C: How did you test servers? Which node?
Thats 3.17 * 8 = 25.36 mbit Not as expected on 1gbps network but far more then 2mbit
What a surprise:
We are pleased to advise you that XVPS has been acquired by Yomura Holdings. XVPS will be maintained as a seperate brand and there will be no changes to prices or services.
Whilst we work through this transition, we ask that if there are any pressing issues that need immediate attention that you contact us as transition@xvps.us. Support and sales will be handled through the usual channels on the client portal.
We look forward to working with you and hope that we can continue the fantastic service that you have become used to at XVPS.
– Steve Jones
Yomura Holdings
Yomura Holdings = bad news, I presume?
From some preliminary searching, I find that they’ve been buying a lot of struggling hosts, and service has degraded as a result.
Looks that way, Even though i prosume they owned it in the first place.
Things couldn’t get much worse at XVPS
Well. “Anonymous” has already warned earlier in the thread that XVPS is just another venture started by the same guy who initially started Delimiter, which was also acquired by Yomura Holdings (like many other brands like RentAVPS).
Why is this a bad thing. their service will keep same pricing, thay added two nodes, one in LA one in Germany… From what can i see it just get better… Please explain…
@lupetalo
take a look at a few of these threads:

Real bad news…
My service tab in WHMCS is empty now. VPS is online though. Contacted support about this, will reply with news…
They solved problem… Service still good….
my vps on france node is offline now more than 12 hours.
No reply or no information from customer service or ticket.
I believe they will loose many customers with this behavior
My vps on france is down, and I can’t connect to the control panel. 2 support tickets in two days and no response
Going down hill after being sold to Yomura Holding?
No Surprise there then!!!
Yep 24h downtime…. Working now…
I sent credit request based on this https://secure.xvps.us/sla.php
Will see how that goes, i recommend you do the same….
i have 3 vps on xvps, that no support,
i send ticket to support, and never respon.. now is more then 24 hours ??
why like that ?
My vps in france have now been unrechable for over a week support dont respond to ticket, and all mail on the xvps.us domain is broken.
I send a mail to the gmail adresse they advertise to, so lets see how that goes.
Unlucky me i bought 1 year of vps from them :-/
So atm im down 177 usd :-/
Support not working for all of us… My VPS had downtimes last week but after I sent ticket it was back online in 2 hours. They don’t answer tickets any more when u have problems… But they see tickets…
Open a ticket!

They never answer tickets! They just close it. I have at least 5 tickets not answered about problems…
They answered a ticket from me quite quickly.
Be aware about that XVPS owned by Yamoura, Delimiter.us – Another SCAM company. I’m sure they will be down soon. Be aware about these things…

Well its been almost full month since they are owned by Yamoura, only thing is no support. up time is around 85% monthly…
I have one year left, so i take my essential buisnes someplace else, and use XVPS for bandwidth and data storage….
Quite a claim Omio, no wonder you didn’t provide a link where you can be contacted.
Their customer service still has to prove itself, but speeds and uptime seem good to me so far. I wouldn’t pay a year up front, but for how little I’m paying, I’m sure I’ll get my money’s worth and more.
Indeed quite a claim. All I have seen is Yomura Holdings buying up dead VPS companies and keep them running. What is your basis for your certainty, since you are so sure about these things, Omio?!
After writing to the gmail adress i got mail back (from the xvps.us domain) and mark responded to the ticket, and im now able to login again, so im a happy man :-)
So maybe they respond to my ticket too…
@LEB: This sounds more like someone with sour grapes than anything concrete. Probably someone who got their service shutdown.
Yomura is registered company and so is Delimiter, you can find them on Companies House in the UK.
Omio posted about Delimiter on here too with the URL http://www.havehost.com and centriohost.com. Centriohost.com shows the details:
Centrio Hosting, LLC., Kamrul H. Bappy (), Flat 7 Barbanel House, Cephas Street, London, E1 4JL, United Kingdom
But there is no Centrio Hosting LLC listed in the UK or US, so a tad strange.
@ Lupetalo write that ….. “up time is around 85% monthly…” lol you people want to tell these 85% is good uptime? Ha Ha…
Aha, I never use deli / xvps before. Already told about them over delimiter posts recently I believe. Their paypal was shut down due to fraud, and the day I was going to buy the service I found that their paypal suspended. Also send them several support tickets, those answered “never”…!
I founds them somekind of fishy… If you guys found them good, why not you all go for that hosts… Thumbs UP ;)
85% sucks, but it all depends what you do with the VPS, whether that is acceptable or not. I don’t have this package, I got:
* 256MB guaranteed/512MB burstable memory
* 30GB storage
* 300GB/month data transfer
* OpenVZ/SolusVM
for less than $5/month. I don’t host websites on it, so a bit of downtime is acceptable. Mine’s had way more than 85% uptime, and the downtime I have had is down to an OVH problem.
For what I use it for, the VPS is a good deal. I’ve seen no evidence of them being a scam, only anecdotal evidence of ropey customer service, which I’ve yet to experience personally.
Ok, just a heads-up. Don’t do business with these guys, they’re scum.
I bought a vps from them, in france. It works fine.
I then bought a VPS from them, in germany. It worked for a day, then broke. I couldn’t connect to it from anywhere, re-imaging the OS didn’t work, they wouldn’t respond to tickets.
4 days of me updating the tickets asking why they wouldn’t answer later, I open a paypal claim.
Now my .FR vps has been suspended, with no contact from them. The working one I paid for is now locked down, and I can’t use it.
They’re thieves. Stay away.
Oh, and to top it all off, they’ve invoiced me $25 for my paypal chargeback. Good luck with that one, guys. :D
I’m confused about why they suspended the .fr one because of the chargeback and not the .de one that I actually did the chargeback for.
I guess it’s just more Yomura uselessness.
Delimiter.us invoiced me $50 for paypal chargeback (they billed me twice and support ignored my requests for refund, so i opened paypal dispute) and shutdown my servers right afterwards. They told me if i pay this, they will get my servers back on, so i paid and they change their mind afterwards then deleted my two vps servers and so as my account. So i got ripped off for $130.
Paul personaly i believe that they acted correctly in regards to the $50 chargeback (We charge the same) it covers any reasonable costs such as legal advice and any bank costs. (Providers get charged for chargebacks). in future do not chargeback as it will result in things going wrong for you. However they also decieved you when they said they would put servers on. if you are in the UK i suggest you to contact the trading standards.
Good luck..
Daniel: I understand that chargeback generate costs, but that shouldn’t be thrown at client. How come should i pay for company’s mistakes ?
Indeed. You’re mental for paying the $130 though. They messed up, ignored support tickets from you asking them to rectify it, then tried to fine you for dealing with it in another way?
You should always (but even more so when dealing with cheapo hosts like we are) keep regular backups so you can just throw a VPS away if it dies. No waiting for it to come up to get your files, just put the latest backup on a new VPS and you’re up and running in no time.
Chargeback generates costs, but people wouldn’t need to do chargebacks if Yomura actually replied to tickets and fixed their own mess.
They didn’t even suspend the correct VPS when they suspended me for issuing the chargeback. That’s the kind of morons we’re dealing with.
