Netflix will only work on residential connections, they have blocked every datacenter IPs from accessing their platform, so regardless of which VPS provider you choose to go with, it is not going to work with Netflix.

1. Shared IP Address – shared for all the accounts/domains under the plan or shared for some (how many) Master accounts?
2. Any limits on the number of domains?

Are you sure Ubuntu 14.04 x86 minimal or full aren’t corrupt? SSH is timing out even after 10-15 minutes.
Is this OS or connectivity issue ? Is your VPS very new ?

Hi! Are there any plans that aren’t hosted with Quadranet? I have had bad experiences with them, as I had multiple Crissic VPS that were switched off because they didn’t want to support VPS anymore, and I lost a lot of advance payments.
I’m sorry to hear about that! I would have to say otherwise. We have been using Quadranet as our primary DC since 2013 and they have been a rock solid data center for us.

Oh, and I’m running CentOS, by choice though. You can choose other operating systems if that isn’t your cup of tea.
I personally can’t stand Ubuntu/Debian and the likes. All my servers either run Cent or Fedora :P

I got a 2GB deal from a few months ago and performance is awful even after having a ticket opened. Network speeds are pretty fast though. (Node name is golf)

I’ve been using an Alpharacks VPS for the last year with similar bad experience: Performance is awful, with trivial operations like ssh’ing in, running “ls” or making an HTTP request to an HTTP server running on the VPS often being delayed by many seconds. I am guessing that the problem is with the specific host my VPS is running on which has been oversold, but the Alpharacks support have been unable or unwilling to move problematic clients off this host, and when I asked to move *my* VPS off this host, the move failed after 2 days of downtime of my VPS. So I’m not happy :-( I have never had such problems with other VPS service providers I tried including (in the past) Crissic and (today) WootHosting. Today I would recommend the latter.

Sammy, absolutely not :-) We would inform you via email when you’re approaching your bandwidth allotment, and provide the opportunity to upgrade. If you decide to not upgrade bandwidth, your VPS will just be suspended temporarily (bandwidth meter resets every month)

I should leave an advice to everyone who is planning to purchase their master reseller/reseller plans. I had bought this sometimes ago when they ran this promotion. After 2 months when I tried setting up one of the WordPress sites. I started to notice that CPU usage is maximumly 98% and Ram around +-90%. Too much server load. Randomly site going down whenever a simple post update runs. Navigating around website feels like I am back to 1998. Receiving too many request time out error as no response from the server and sometimes 503 error from server side. But the thing is there no other traffic in beside me. Also, I was using uptime monitor and was randomly receiving alert notice of server going down. Before purchasing this I asked a question to them if they are overselling the packages. But they acted as they are not but now I am having a hard time on trusting any cheap reseller offer on lowendbox. Because they all do oversell. I wonder if they are doing a false advertisement for selling out their reseller package. I sent a message to their support mentioning to @Julian and waiting for receiving a reply on this server load issue.

Do not buy any VPS or server from AlphaRacks. They are cheating as the server keeps down. Besides that, they are changing me 1 more transaction even though I had cancelled >1 month in advance. Very suck service. Keep asking the refund, but no entertain on what I face now.

Purchased a VPS with them, was fine for a few days then had a few problems with the panel (couldn’t reboot/boot/reinstall). Opened a support ticket (quick response), they offered to move me to another server which I agreed. The new server was however laggy and quite unresponsive so I decided to move back to the old server where at least it was still function able.
A few days later, the sever went down everytime it got booted up so I hit them up again, they first said it was an issue with the panel and that they would be getting on to it, about a day later I asked them again if the problem was sorted. Another rep posted me a log saying that it was under DoS attack, and that was literally his message (no explanation no options to fix).
My most recent reply was to Reinstall my OS and block any ports (1. I did say that the panel was broken so how was I going to reinstall my OS. 2. I don’t see how reinstalling OS would get rid of the DoS attacks)
Emailed Julian or the guy up in these postings, still no answer.
TLDR:
Fast support and responsive, for my 1 support ticket I had about 4 different people answering it and it probably didn’t help that none of them read the context.
Feel like I’m going in circles, all I wanted was a working VPS, as of now it is also too late to get a refund.
This is a solid provider. Been using AlphaRacks (VPS) for a fair amount of time now (over 8 months). A huge improvement compared to my other VPS with NodeServ.
Garbage host as are all hosts that offer prices like the ones in this deal. As expected, their servers are overloaded/underpowered.

I purchased Linux VPS Special #3 and it worked quite well for a few days. Now, it seems that the server is oversold and the speed is pathetic. Yearly plan is a trap because they do not offer any refund.

The benchmark of the CPU is 4453 and when the server is oversold, your website will take minutes to open. I would NOT recommend this host. Go for alpharacks if you want google to kill your website because of slow response.

NEVER buy any VPS from alpharacks. They cheat by offering vps at lower rate. VPS will work fine for a week so that the refund period is over. After that, vps will never work. They trap customers by offering cheap VPS. If you love your website, you will leave alpharacks after a week, but you will lose your money. So, if they say $8/year, it means $8/month. Their revenue model is based on cheating. NEVER EVER BUY.
Alpharacks is the absolute champion of bad hosting. It’s almost unbelievable how could they manage to bring the service quality to such low.

Alpharacks is not perfect but their openvz are totally worth to try.
i’ve been using it like 3 o 4 months and i’ve had like 2 o 3 bad days (slow io or no cpu time) but their support actually tries to help you (at least), after asking for help their moved my vps to another server and now it runs like a charm.
don’t be fucking cheap you stupid fuck, it was only $8/year, if you’re testing non serious stuff or just learning alpharacks is great.
if you’re trying to use it to do real work please find better options, you’re gonna avoid so much headaches
