More about WebHosting Ninja:
Webhosting.ninja is based out of sunny Austin, TX. Founded by a group of web hosting industry veterans with one goal, to bring back customer service to the industry.
Over the last few years there has been a sharp decline in customer service within the web hosting industry. We’ve watched as many of the top companies that once prided themselves on their image, just stopped caring. Recognizing the need for a change, webhosting.ninja was born.

Hi guys has anyone got any stats on these products yet, keen to see some detailed info and live stats.
all passwords are stored in plain text 2/10 do not recommend
Passwords are not stored in plain text. 1/10 bad review.
They are either stored in plain text or stored in a reversible way.
After registering an account, one can go to “Hello, XYZ” -> Email History and select the first e-mail, “Welcome”. After clicking View Message, the password is clearly displayed. Making matters even worse, this password is e-mailed in plain text to the client.
There is no option to delete this e-mail from the control panel, so it looks like it is stored indefinitely in plain text. It may be hashed in the users table, but that’s useless if it’s stored in plain text somewhere else in the database like the emails table.
Also, if you actually work at the company, then your response reflects poorly on the company’s supposed goal of bringing “customer service to the industry”. A more measured response would be like “Passwords on our billing system are not actually stored in plain text; our system hashes the password immediately after an account is registered or a password updated. Can you clarify which password you are referring to and/or why you believe it is stored in plaintext?”. You would still be wrong but then you wouldn’t come across as unnecessarily rude.
two people make negative comments in here and get attacked by people related to the company, not to mention them emailing my fkn password in plain text
avoid at all costs :-)
It’s sad that people think that great customer service means ‘the customer is always right’. We take pride in our service/support and will defend it at all costs. If you don’t like the $1.49/month vps that you say has plain text passwords, move along.
it costs you nothing to implement proper security, such excuses are unbelievable
why would anyone pay anything for a box with so many vulns
you offer no proof to refute the claim that passwords are stored in plaintext when it is clearly demonstrated they are, this is clearly a pump and dump cashgrab, low price does not justify low standards
>Founded by a group of web hosting industry veterans with one goal, to bring back customer service to the industry.
Your responses and the fact you sent any form of password in their welcome email has lost you this potential customer. Also, please remove that statement from your sales pitch or correct it to say you haven’t brought it back yet.
Expensive for OVH with OVZ and other limitations
Novel idea for you Lucas as it seems not one offer here meets your extremely high standards how about providers pay YOU to use there services i mean every post on here is overpriced and using the wrong environment im sure you can make a few bucks from providers when they all flock to have you use there services.
@wulfy
NOTHING TO DO WITH SERVICE ABOVE, do not waste time reading.
Did you really have to post that, Wulfy? What exactly have you achieved? You personally attacked a person for stating their opinion. If that’s not the purpose of these comments, I don’t know what is. I’d very much like not to have to sort through pollution thank you very much, so please, refrain from posting unnecessary, petty personal attacks. Post reviews, opinions, real things that happened to you if you happen to have interacted with the company. For all else, scream into a bag. Let it out, in a private, non-cluttering way. Thanks!
i almost replied to a troll (well another one)… sigh almost
