LowEndBox - Cheap VPS, Hosting and Dedicated Server Deals

BHost - £3.72 512MB OpenVZ VPS in UK

BHost Gonna post offers from some established companies on a Sunday. Nicholas from BHost has sent me their updated coupon code. Similar to what he has offered last time, but 24% off recurring instead of 23% off! Use coupon code LOWENDBOXAUG at the ordering page. Okay, their discount for LowEndBox readers seems to hovering between 20%-24% off — can we have something different next time, Nick? :) Still, this discount has brought their Bronze package down to £3.72/month (ex VAT), or ~USD$6.09. It has

  • 512MB guaranteed/1024MB burstable memory
  • 20GB storage
  • 1000GB/month data transfer on 100Mbps
  • OpenVZ/SolusVM

Servers with RapidSwitch in Maidenhead UK (test IP: 78.129.251.251). Check comments from past reviews, but in general quite positive. They have been around since 2002, registered as a limited company in UK. You can get their US, UK and Ireland contact number + other info from their contact page.

Have had a Gold VPS with them since January and its been very good. No downtime bar about half an hour of scheduled maintenance in June which was announced well in advance and they emailed several reminders as well as updates via twitter. Support is very helpful, adding TUN/TAP when requested and also supplied a script and documentation on setting up openvpn. Additional IP address was also provisioned very quickly when requested.

  3. Just for clarification – we operate our own hardware, but co-locate VPS customers with Rapidswitch.
