“This code can only be used once per client”.
Means you used it already, this offer was on LET before.
Ok, I wasn’t aware that it was the same offer :)
LEB has quite a backlog… so it is the same, yes :)
William, lets reset code to allow new orders as it’s really long ago since was posted at LET :P
Offer or not, had to get a .es, now hurry to create it :)
“The promotion code entered has already been used”
I didn’t use it.
They had this offer advertised at LET before they submitted it here, perhaps you used it there?
Nope.
May be that since was limited to only the first 200 really means that they sold out and the offer expired.
great offer but space quota too small :)
Very interested in you KVM offer… But it needs more space so I can compile the kernel to get FreeBSD working with VirtIO!
Grabbed one (KVM) as soon as I saw it.
Didn’t realize it only had 1GB of HDD (entirely my fault here), but I think I will be able to manage with just that.
First impressions, it feels incredibly snappy and fast for something this cheap.
It’s way too soon to tell anything, but if this holds up I may be considering moving my main VPSs to this provider (really impressed!).
Got one in Italy, great price!
@Spirit: Nah, that’s a promo not something that we will have regular :P
EDIS is everywhere
Hi jcaleb!
We are also present in Hong Kong and in Chile, but these locations don’t qualify for this promo.
Cheers,
Gerhard
Does this mean Iceland is available?
Hi Dave,
no, sorry … Iceland is not available either … colo / traffic would be way too expensive for this offer.
Cheers,
Gerhard
sorry for mis-spelling your name, Dave!
was typing too fast …
MOD EDIT: I’ve fixed this for you. – LEB Liam
One additional GB of disk space would be highly appreciated!
Just go for a larger plan and you get even more ;-)
I think the deal needs to stay fair for both parties. agree?
Best,
Gerhard
I don’t need the larger plan. It would be nice to be able to do a Ubuntu release upgrade – not possible with 1 GB. I’d even pay a few bucks more/yr just for an additional GB.
Please contact me at gerhard.kleewein@edis.at – just send me what you exactly need and we will figure something out.
How much would +1 GB of HDD would cost per year? or maybe +2? I am also interested in this.
Hi Guys!
sorry for the slight delay in deployment of VPS today. We are a bit overwhelmed by the amount of orders that have been rolling in.
Between 01:00 pm and 04:00pm CEST we received new orders almost every 2 minutes. Thanks a lot guys!
We are working on the backlog and the last outstanding orders will be delivered within the next 2 hours.
Have a great weekend!
Cheers
Gerhard @ EDIS
Amazing price Gerhard!! Is there solusvm access available if i buy? Thx!!!!!
Hi Joselin!
no solusvm here, only our own custom panel and in around 3 months from now we’ll be working with Atomia
Have a great Sunday!
Gerhard
Was already looking into Edis, this tipped me over the edge :) Hello London
Hi Christopher ;-) Now we understand …
Thanks for the short mail-chat.
Cheers from the south side of the Alps
Gerhard
Thank you all for the awesome service/deal. London, now Zürich, maybe Graz for the fun of it…:D
Excellent service, I only wish their KVM micro is a bit larger or at least they allow you to buy some extra disk space as an addon, since 1GB is hardly of any use other than VPN.
Support takes a while to reply but overall I hardly need them because the server is stable.
A review I have done earlier on their VRS Smart plan:
http://www.96mb.com/96mb-low-end-vps-review-part-xxxii-edis/
Hi!
thanks for your feedback! We will be upgrading the micro plans as soon the enterprise grade sas drives will be back to normal pricewise.
Support is slower on weekends – sorry for that. At the moment we are struggling a bit, due to the tremendous amount of orders we got in via LEB.
Thanks for your understanding!
Gerhard @ EDIS
No bursts?
Am I going to be charged with VAT even if I’m from asia?
You won’t as it is a european fee
VAT will be automatically removed once you enter your address.
Is/can PPP be enabled on the non-KVM package for VPN? I realise this is irrelevant for KVM, but would be more interested in the non-KVM, ‘VRS’ service due to the extra disk space.
Mark.
Hello,
No, it can’t
It’s allowed IRC activity in Spain location?
Client yes – Server no
The only thing missing traffic monitoring. And I didn’t used vserver before; nothing is running, high load average is normal(load average: 2.74, 3.05, 3.12)? Thanks.
From personal expierence, with vserver, the load which is shown is that of the node.
So you haven’t got anything to worry about!
Thanks :).
When I go through the order link above and I click to View cart, there is an error saying the promo doesnt apply to anything in the cart and the cart is empty.
oops i just needed to add a hostname and go right to checkout :)
Is it possible to host a PPTP vpn on a KVM based server? If so I will possibly buy quite a few from you guys.
Yes, this works fine.
Thanks for the quick reply
Just got the polish KVM for a PPTP VPN. Very fast setup, I get approx 5mbps download to the UK which is not as good as the test file but sufficient for my purposes. Fairly pleased with it for less than pound a month.
Unfortunately I’ve ordered VRS(compulsive buyer) before I’ve read it can’t be used for VPN. Can I switch to KVM Micro somehow :) ?
Hi Piotr,
please send us a message with your server-id and/or IP address to support@edis.at and we can cross-upgrade to KVM if you want.
Best regards,
Gerhard
Is it possible 11,95Euro – 8,70Euro = 3,25 Euro? I want it, but you want me to pay 15 euro for upgrade.
Hi Gerhard,
same here for me ;(
Would it pe possible to upgrade my VRS to a KVM?
I have sent you an email with a concern, it would help if the network port speed was added to the main post.
Thanks
Deep
Thanks, ordered your new ICELAND Location and waiting for the setup. Unfortunaly you extra-charge for Hong-Kong and Chile :(
*Unfortunately
Iceland is not part of the Promo, It will not be delivered / refunded.
Got a box there, works like a charm.
The support is friendly and incredibly helpful, I can recommend them.
Note: Double accounts are NOT allowed and lead to termination of both accounts and all services when we find out that you used a new account to sign up and use this promotion again.
Super happy about orderding the .es, its snappy as hell, kudos for adding es deb mirror to default install!
Same with .pl, which I used LET offer to buy, super stuff.
Thanks, edis :)
do you support openbsd under your kvm? (it needs e1000 lan)
No, we dont us the e1000 – we use the virtio card.
Should work in IDE mode though (untested)
Got a link for your TOS? Is it the same in all locations?
Basically:
No IRCds except in Austria, DDoS means you HAD a VPS – BNCs/Eggdrops are fine, except in Efnet
No (hardcore)porn in Italy, Germany and Poland – Softcore not advised either
No Spam, No (D)DoS, No Portscans or other stuff that gets us lots of Abuse
No public proxys/VPNs (Private/Sold ok if SMTP and Torrent ports are blocked)
No Torexits, No Torentry (middle is fine)
EDIS swedish location has been under ddos attack for over 2 weeks and according to support there is nothing they can do about it. My VPS is pretty much useless because of this.
I wasn’t informed about the ddos until I contacted them because of the extremely poor performance of the VPS.
Yes, we can only wait for them as said – Portlane has some issues which we can simply not resolv, and they won’t kick that customer.
100 more stock have been added for now, so get it while it lasts – no more stock will be added :)
Thanks!
i want to purchase your vps VRS Starter
i just want to ask few questions–
1) is tun/tap interface enabled on your vps
2) can i use your vps as openvpn server
3) can bandwidth be purchased seperately
and last
do you sell your vps to indian clients
For VPN you have to get KVM not VRS(VRS do not support VPN)
I recently discovered that a new iptables wrapper is available for VRS.
Unfortunately there is no support for chains, but if you just ban all traffic from an ip, it works too.
Check this snippet out, you have to place it at /etc/fail2ban/action.d/iptables-vrs.conf for example.
[Definition]
actionban = vrs_iptables -I INPUT -s -j DROP
actionunban = vrs_iptables -D INPUT -s -j DROP
and thats all. It will clear all bans (because of the missing timestamp) if you restart fail2ban, otherwise it works fine.
Regards,
Jan
Additional info:
Of course you shouldn’t catch incoming UDP requests with fail2ban(!) because the origin can be faked.
And just set banaction = iptables-vrs in jail.local
Damn, already out of stock :-/
Indeed. code is not valid anymore :|
Still available in Spain? I want to get one for a private Mumble server.
I also want to know what happens if bandwidth limit is exceeded.
I am a chinese! Ask VAT number to fill in the thank you
Dont choose Spain datacenter. Because they have problem with internet provider.
I lost 20% of traffic. Its unacceptable.
No packet loss and good latency from my DSL in Spain:
34 packets transmitted, 34 packets received, 0.0% packet loss
round-trip min/avg/max/stddev = 35.064/38.568/41.465/1.496 ms
Sorry for my real bad english, but i want say few strings about Edis.AT
I was use a lot of different cheap vps hostings, and i think, edis.at is best.
1.) Great Ping in different Europe Locations.
2.) VERY Good Support Team!
3.) Humanity Support! What do not laught of their clients (as like buyvm do!!!) And kind for newbie in linux!
4.) Not bad Control Panel
5.) Very Cheap Prices!
6.) Very good updtime, + if edis do technical works they send emails before this words (before few days)
7.) Very good vpses for game servers (great ping, good upload/download speed ~ minimum 70mbit/s (it’s i think shared, but still very good), Very good CPU’s (no troubles with CPU).
I really recommend use Edis.at offers to all Europians/exUSSR countrys. Because it’s much better than hetzner, linode (i was use that too!), + edis.at have good prices, good uptime, etc. Thank you edis.at for your services!
Again, forgive my really suck english!
Those this vps support torrent?
