We do not allow gameservers in general as per our experiences they somewhat are very much resource hungry and effect our nodes at peak times.

Just ordered one of these servers, setup was quick and easy – no problems on that side.
In the process of doing some quick benchmarks before deploying some services and network speeds don’t look great…. Also only has 4 cores and not 8 as mentioned in the promo.
A git checkout has been running at about 5 to 20KiB/s for the past 10 mins :(
Well, ofcourse it is just exactly as mentioned at the promo 8 cores with /HT (Hyper Threading). This simply means 4 physical cores acting as 8 logical cores. (This is how HT = Hyper Threading works). Again in the promotion description it is not mentioned 8 cores rather mentioned 8 cores with /HT or Hyper Threading).
On the other hand it just seems there was an abuser or 2 on the node at the time you managed to get that spped test. We will update your ticket at our helpdesk once those abusers are proven and suspended.

I would always ONLY ever say this is 4 cores 8 threads. The average audience would really get confused. They might not have an idea what HT or Hyper Threading means – all buzz words.

I would like to let you know that our latest node seems to have attracted a lot of abusers. Right now we are closely monitoring our latest 2 nodes and suspending the abusers 1 by 1. As a result you will get much better speeds once we are done with the abusers.

Just purchased the second plan the other day. So far so good though I did have a problem in the beginning. I couldn’t ping or ssh into the VPS. Submitted a support ticket and within 20 minutes the problem was fixed. Something about the IP routing. Other than that its been all good, though sometimes the VPS acts slow when preforming operations don’t know what that is about.

Though still if you ever face such slowness or any other issue just shoot up a ticket and we will check for abusers and see if any other issues at the server or network.
