In case you hadn’t heard, cPanel is back for its annual price increase. This time it isn’t even a year. The last increase was effective January 1, 2022. This latest price increase hits December 16, 2022.
First, let’s look at the price changes for cPanel Partners, aka “noc” customers which are typically hosting providers who resell the cPanel family of software:

For those keeping count, that’s a 21-24% increase across the board in less than two years. There’s inflation, but I mean, c’mon. You can bet that hosting providers will be passing those increases down to their end users quickly.
Additionally, the price for end users, who rent cPanel software directly from the cPanel website, is going up by as much as 12% from the early 2022 pricing:

Susan, whare your favorite alternatives to cPanel?

My goto used to be CWP (https://control-webpanel.com/) but it kind of got screwy on me when trying to use different PHP versions. Some type of bug and it you could easily kill all your sites by simply changing just one. These issues were not isolated to one server, it happened on all mine and I have many. Was a big headache. Support just ignores these issues.
I use aaPanel on some VPS and happy with it. Only huge drawback is you cannot use MariaDB and using any extra IP’s is a little hard.
As of lately I have been really liking CyberPanel. Man, it works great and is smooth. Only drawback is it is not simple to use multiple IP’s. Upon install it picks up the main IP and you have to jump through loops to add any extra ones. If you use CyberPanel and want to use WordPress, highly recommend using the “LiteSpeed Cache” plugin ;) Another note, unless you are a “paying” customer you are on your own and forum is only route.
I have to be honest. My husband is the brains behind our server configurations, I know just enough to be dangerous:)

Don’t get me wrong, cPanel is the best but I refuse to be held hostage. cPanel has many locked in and can charge what they want. I do not like bullies :)
