i have a few always takes ages for page to load oversold nodes 1 guy on support cheap but not cheerful experience and moving hosts.
alot of these cheap ass deals that forward on the poor quality to the customers lately
dont get on node 16, 14 you will regret it in fact i wonder how many customers are on node 16 seems like 500 with like 500mhz off cpu at most times and trust me dont use something resourceful like a webserver and expect good times

I agree with x, they lure you in, and then they suddenly have all these weird excuses, when something isn’t performing correctly. Their disk IO is still unstable, it spikes super fast. Also, there is only Ralph, all the support tickets are replied by Ralph. Now Ralph has tried to be helpful, but their service sucks overall. You don’t really know what you will get from them, it might be super stable the first few days, and then suddenly the server is super slow, and then it is fast again until the next slow down. Their network is fast though. Also, it almost seems like people who use their discounted coupons etc, get worse service. Don’t be shocked when you only get a CPU clock/core of about 550Mhz.
All I can say is, rather stay away from them. I see Edis will be releasing servers in NL soon, so rather wait for that, or get a server from DigitalOcean for example or MyRSK if they have stock.

Lets set some things straight here…
First of all it’s not only one support operator. You might have been helped by one all the time.
About your allocations: Yes this might have been editted as you where causing problems for other users due to high loads coming from your VPS alone, possible due to public proxy, torrents or other high I/O related processes(which are not even allowed as explained in our TOS).
We want to give all our users a fair share of their service and sometimes you have to temporarily downgrade an user who is causing problems for other users.
No, I didn’t run any of those processes. I tried to run a basic blog with a MySQL backend. It would run fine, but there was always these random spikes that makes it take minutes to load a page. I am sorry but I have only seen one person reply to tickets, etc. x also stated that there is only one support person, so I am not delusional. Now it might be that I was on node 14 or 16, but I think this is where you dump people that take your cheapest offers. And then you don’t really monitor it to take away abusers.
People buying this service, if you get any hickup or problem in the first week, rather cancel it and get the refund, before it just gets worse. As they try and lure you in, with awesome service the first 7 days.

that’s very different from what I experienced.
Yes, the disk access is lousy at times but – I have experienced this myself – this is due to single reckless users who abuse their VPS. Furthermore VPSslim does not ignore that. I experienced myself that the VPSslim guys search for the problem and solve it.
Similarly I can not confirm your negative remarks about the “coupon customers”. Actually I *am* one of those coupon customers. I have always been treated politely, friendly, and in a constructive manner. My complaints have been taken care of and I have no reason whatsoever to feel like a second class customer.
I personally think (and I might be dead wrong) that VPSslim is either a rather young company or one that created and offers a new product line that still has some small quirks (although those seem to getting ironed out step by step).
Finally for fairness sake I want to mention something that speaks loudly about their comittment to customers and their products:
When I had bad problems in the beginning (see my post further below) I actually thought that maybe I was stupid and that I got what I payed for, something very low level.
As I had already set up a lot of stuff and didn’t want to start all over again at another VPS provider, I actually offered them to pay 50% more to solve what I thought the problem was (low price = bad VPS).
All they needed to do was to say “Yes, OK”. However, they didn’t. What they did was to get things working for me. Without having me paying any cent extra. And again: I am a “cheap coupon customer”.
Talking about “we are great, we are honest, we value our customers” is cheap. VPSslim, however, didnt just talk. They *were* honest and they did *not* take my offer to pay more.

Have 1 VPS from a previous LET offer and it runs fine. IPv6 was not available at that time, but now is and after a ticket was activated. Also, they gave me 6 IP addresses at first, after a ticket that became just one. Nice support, fun to be able to write in your native language. Overall, nice provider.

I have recently taken a VPS Basic from VPSslim.
In the beginning it was in between bad and nightmarish. Having myself a load of less than 0.25 and typically around 0.1 my VPS felt extremely sluggish and my connection was very often broken. Sometimes just logging in took over a minute or even timed out.
Frankly, I was considering to ask my money back.
On the other hand their support didn’t seem to not care or to take it lightly. Actually Ralph (who happened to be the one supporting me) quite clearly stated that, yes, there were problems (which in itself is good because most companies would just lie or blame the customer) and that they were trying hard to find out more and to fix it.
Well, it took a while. He asked my (very friendly) to please be patient and sometimes I felt they were stretching my patience …
All in all it took a good week but now my VPS seems to work ok. Sure, it’s not a speed daemon but then, you can’t ask for a high-end VPS for that low price.
Disk speed (dd from /dev/zero to ~/testfile) gives me around 250MB/s for smaller transfers (< 1GB) and around 60MB/s for huge transfers. As most services deal with files in the KB and low MB range I don't care about huge transfers and am completely happy with those results. From a practical standpoint the VPS behaves almost like a SSD based one.
The connectivity is excellent, CPU is OK.
All in all I'm satisfied and a happy customer now, particularly due to VPSslims comittment to customers and good support. That's not something that every low-budget provider offers.
I wouldn't run a heavy PHP-based site serving millions of pages a day on that VPS but for a mid size website (with some php, python, etc.), a mail server and a dns server, that is for what most private customers and small companies need, the VPSslim Basic seems a good choice.

Setup was fast, but, the VPS is not accessible via the IP address given. This has gone on for several hours.
2.5 hours ago I got a response from support saying “Thats weird because I can. Can you please check again?”, not real helpful.
I am still waiting, only because others here have said it can actually work.

I’m using “VPS Basic” for 3 weeks.
Performance is very poor. It seems that my VPS is have NO access to processor time of host. more than 12 hours per day i’m waiting about from 2 to 5 MINUTES (!!!) making “cd” command in terminal by ssh (cpu usage less than 5% memory free above 55% and ping is 20-30).
Support service is very friendly but in fact their “help” is useless.

ralph 1 man support team no point me getting monitoring email saying its down and blah blah blah again no way are these 80% uptime
Strange, UptimeRobot monitoring my HostSlim box over last few months state 99.58% uptime – without some regular downtimes. http://royal.pingdom.com/royalfiles/pingdom_uptime_cheat_sheet.pdf That’s acceptable in my eyes for non mission critical low cost vps.

After 4 months of a service that just simply doesnt work at a basic level, not it seems ever will, I have requested my money back.

I have been using this service about 5-6wks now and I’m really happy about it. I did have a few hiccups initially but what matters is that at the end of the day the support team promptly fixed all of them. I also had answers to all my requests very fast. I agree with Alex. I have been renting this unmanaged VPS plan from VPSslim for two years and have recently renewed for a third year.
Availability has been good and on the rare occasions there have been a problem it has been resolved quickly by friendly and helpful people.
The advertised 1Gbs speed compared to most others’ 100Mbs is a useful feature and I have regularly seen speeds between 600Mbs and 700Mbs when moving large amounts of data to/from servers in UK and USA.
I would have no hesitation recommending VPSslim/HostSlim to anyone else.

My VPS with this company has been one downtime after another and as I write this it is down again including the admin website for my VPS.
I went an entire week being offline then to have them tell me I needed a new IP address for whatever reason which was never explained to me and then took 2 days to get this new IP and then I was not informed it was active I had to go look in the admin page myself. I would let them know that my *double bandwidth* was never applied but with it being down so much it doesn’t really matter.
When it does work the speeds are good but all this downtime in the first month has me rethinking my choices.
Out of all my 9 VPS i have with different provider my VPSSLIM is by far the worst, uptime, performance. If you contact support their predefine messages are, fixed, is that better, reboot your vps.
I’m dissapointed too about this server… At the beginning everything worked well, then I have received a mail about the new packages / offers they have – from this moment almost every month they have blocked my vps – and they are saying that I have overloaded the CPU… and this is a BIG LIE – the only service I use it’s working on a damn raspberry pi version B and uses less than 7% of the cpu. Since the new prices – this were the words I get from Ralph – for this amount… what do U think you have? I don’t think nothing – I have payed for something and simply not works since they have got the new prices. And thats a fact!
