Kevin, from ServerMania, has sent in his second LowEndBox OpenVZ offer which is available in Buffalo, New York.
VPS-1024L Plan

ServerMania were previously known as B2Net Solutions. They operated under this brand for 10 years but they recently underwent rebranding to ServerMania. Interestingly enough, their IP space is still registered as “B2Net Solutions” and the company is legally registered in Ontario, Canada. I’ve noticed ServerMania are utilizing a pretty cool custom billing and order panel which looks great and functions well. ServerMania’s last offer received many positive comments, reinforcing their “Superior Support Fleet” motto.
ServerMania accept payments via Visa, Mastercard and PayPal. They offer a 100% network uptime guarantee and a 100% power uptime guarantee. From my experience, most providers usually offer one or the other, so it’s nice to see both 100% for both! Additional IPv4 addresses are charged at $3/Month. They do not offer any money back guarantee or refunds. As usual, have a read of their Terms of Service before signing up.
Network Information:
Servers are located at the popular ColoCrossing datacenter in Buffalo, NY.
Test IPv4: 192.157.59.250

Hmmmm… Testfile is *not* on 100Mbits line…
Is it the same speed we get with the VPS ?
100%[======================================>] 524,288,000 24.9M/s in 21s
Its not intended to be on a 100 Mbps line. Its just a generic speed test file on our network. Thank you.
I thought that the entire point of a provider’s speed test file was to test the quality of their own servers, not that of anyone elses…
This test file is our own servers, its just not rate limited to 100 Mbps.
can the burst be replaced with vswap?
vSwap is equal to the the memory
“They do not offer any money back guarantee or refunds.”
Pass.
no puff puff for you?
With our excellent track record we have no reason to offer a money back guarantee.
Yeah. Every company, in their eyes, has an excellent track record. As a potential new customer, I want some reassurance that if I am not happy I can get a partial (pro-rated) or full refund.
If you stand by your company with its ‘excellent track record’ you should never have to offer a refund anyway. So why not have it in your policy? What are you afraid of? Why aren’t you in the top LEB/LET ratings? I’ve never heard of your company before, both prior and post rebranding. Why?
Thus far in our customers eyes (Google: Server Mania Review) we have an excellent track record, clients are very happy.
If you wish to try our services then please contact me via email at support@servermania.com I can arrange a few day trial for you. We have nothing to hide, so please do not spin this out of proportion.
I have bought a 512MB OpenVZ VPS from them and I couldn’t be happier. They do offer a great service! Since last three months there has been only one downtime for me. And when I opened the ticket, it was answered within a minute. The support team is very helpful. All I can say is I am very happy with Servermania. :)
I’m a bit confused though..
1 year $47.88
2 year $126.00
shouldn’t that be $95.76 ?
We’re offering incentives for prepayment.
That doesn’t make any sense. Why are you giving less discount on the longer payment terms? How is that an incentive to pay for a longer term?
These are the terms in your panel:
3 months 15% off
6 months 29% off
12 months 43% off
24 months 25% off
36 months 22% off
Can you explain that?
Bad math i guess.
Thanks for the catch, since the offer on LEB only gave us the option of up to 1 Year prepayment we neglected to update the pricing on 2 and 3 year terms. This has since been updated and resolved. Further discounts are now applied on those terms.
Well, according to my “math”, it should be like this:
3 months 15% off
6 months 29% off
12 months 43% off
24 months 57% off
36 months 71% off
48 months 85% off
60 months 99% off
$7*60m = $420 – 99% off = $4.2
that would be a great offer
Well $15 annual has been done to death, maybe 5 years for $5 is the next race to the bottom
Ah OK that makes sense!
The price is too high, VPS configuration generally
50 dollars a year is too high for what they are offering? … i wouldnt go that far.
Price is high for the specs? It’s the standard LEB price, for good specs.
urpad has same offer for 30 usd
any usp can u offer?
The prices are not bad but not the cheapest also
some host are very expensive and they give less
everybody likes to buy the 1 year term
I want for 6,99 :D
cpu?
E3-1270v2
can not ping 192.157.59.250 to determine delay to the server
now its ok, it seems that it was my internet connection
I haven’t purchased any VPS at all, so my question might look like naive. If I buy through this offer(for example for a 6 months period), how much does servermani charges after the 6 months period finishes? I mean is the renewal will be the same price?
Yes, it should be the same price. I’m pretty sure all LEB offers have to be recurring. Anyway they’d say in the offer if it’s not recurring.
The renewal price will remain the same as the LEB offer.
Thanks for clarifying that.
I was declined service because I ordered while I was at work and ended up have a proxy ip in the UK. No chance to explain, simply denied.
After pursuing it, they said I was in Saudi Arabia, but still declined after I explained that I was at work and my two exit points would have be a city in the US or in the UK.
Would not recommend.
ya… I would have denied you too. Take your stolen card somewheres else.
Cool story bro.
whatever. no stolen card, no stolen paypal. just denied service with no explanation until I asked. Nice to be denied, thought I should post.
Ummm. I bought it from India. They asked for verification of documents for the card. That’s it.
The server started out really good, but over the last few weeks I’ve been getting increasingly serious network issues. Yesterday or today I think one of by VPS was completely inaccessible for something like seven hours; I didn’t get any email about it, and it wasn’t until I submitted a support ticket that they fixed it. From their website you’d think they have lots of monitoring software for their servers, but it seems like they aren’t really able to respond to issues.
my VPS*
Our network contains many servers, if any outages did occur please feel free to contact our support team which are available to you 24/7 for assistance.
I have been, but the issues keep repeating. In fact it’s down again at the moment.
Having network issues again at the moment. They can’t seem to fix problems. Website is responding slowly as well I think…
Kevin, you don’t do anything about it. I have had the same problem. Your servers suck. I wish you guys would offer refunds. Being available 24/7 doesn’t mean anything if you don’t fix the problems.
Bad experience today. This is my first VPS signup attempt, and my fault was that I used my wife’s credit card to pay – noob move, agreed. But I did so because of this email fragment from them – “Hi, Since the card is not in your name, we will require you to verify the order”.
Excellent – so they didn’t say it outright that I wouldn’t be able to sign-up using my wife’s card, only that a verification was required.
But, after some to and fro in this verification fiasco, I get this: “The credit card you have provided does not belong to you. I’m sorry but we cannot accept your order at this time. Your card has been refunded and order cancelled.”
There – 1 hour of my life I’m not getting back.
I am using this VPS for almost a week, I am very happy with it. For my configuration (NodeJS application, MySQL server and a webserver) it’s very fast!
Hi… I purchased the $48/year 1024MB plan and I’m quite satisfied. Just wondering, can I purchase that plan again or is it only for new customer? thanks
You can purchase as many as you need :)
Just purchased one from them today with 4 IPs. Really superb support. VPS relatively fast. Save my life after getting downtime from my previous provider for Solus 0 days.
i have 2 linux vps and 2 E3 dedicated server with server mania, i run asterisk on those 2 vps and i install VMWare Esxi 5.0 and make 17 vps on each Dedicated Server. almost 1 month with them.
what good things i found :
Bandwidth is so good, i need good bandwidth for voice. i shift server from snelserver as it is expensive,
What bad things i found:
HDD related problem, when guest linux (centos 5.10 32 bit) start it show error with drive ready, seek complete error aborting test.
Finally i will say for good bandwidth i will choose servermania.
they don’t have IPv4 rDNS for their vps – I got good deal from them though…so I ain’t tripping but it would be nice if they do rDNS for VPS as well.
Dont trust them;i was buy yearly OpenVZ VPS ,i did not use my amount to install any ,few weeks after i checked to my admin,oh are suspended my vps account, i asking why ,they said its a happen of over use my bandwidth ,but funny thing is i am not use any, many times they re install, i dont want, after i make a complain and i need to get my money back ,they are refused and say, they are neither refund our money, dont trust and buy any hosting from them ,they are telling lies and also cheaters,
dont lost your money,
hi all
2 days ago , I write a review for Server Menia , they gave me downtime for more then 6 hrs , they said there was a hardware problem and my review was also removed from here so i doubt on honesty of webhostingtalk.com reviews.
Again today my server is down from past 5 hrs and still they saying it will take 4hr more and today there is problem with network. I have made my life time mistake of taking server from servermania ….they are worst.
if any one wants to verify PM me or send me a message , I will send all my server Ips and tickes details. Server mania is worst host.
Stay away from their heavily advertised hybrid servers, some with mystery CPU.
You will get burned.
I just ordered the $39/mo hybrid server. because of the large orders people are led to place, it was poorly set-up. According to their claims, it pulled more traffic than that allocated, so it was disabled. when i complained, it was terminated.
I initiated a charge-back and it was given in their favor, according to paypal policies. so be careful buying from them, before you get burned. They made it clear they are not going to refund so you can go to hell.
