The price is extremely high for the horrible performance,poor uptime, and extremely oversold nodes, many of us experienced when we made the mistake of trying their past offers. I had several VPS’s from them in the past (August 2012-March 2013) and the experience was a nightmare. I would suggest reading these threads and searching for reviews on VPSSlim before wasting your money on this offer. The comments are almost all negative.

You have made your opinion clear the last year in several posts. You have nod had a VPS with us for the last year so you can certainly not talk about the service at this point as there have been major improvements.
Also I would like to point out that our account is “temporarily suspended (for a few days)” and this is being discussed with the WHT leader, and are still in discussion with. This has nothing to do with our credibility or service.

Was using their last promotional offer, it was almost impossible to use the VPS for more than 2 days without the server being unreachable.
Performances were very low in terms of disk speed & bandwidth, so yeah most probably oversold .
Opening tickets always ended up in very elusive answers.
The worst part? When I sent my cancellation request. They’ve sent me like 4 or 5 emails asking me to pay, saying it was the last warning before they would charge some extra money collection fee blablabla…pure bullshit, very unprofessional service.
If you want .nl, there are way better, reliable offers.
– VPSSlim oversell nodes to the extension that I wasn’t able to use even 15% of paid hardisk capacity – risk of data corruption. Twice.
– TUN/TAP is down after every host node reboot without possibility to enable it from SolusVM.
– The worst part is their standard “we will take a look at it” or “we are very busy” support response which never bring solution and it’s needed to struggle in average 3 – 4 weeks to get the simplest things done.
– As positive thing I need to mention decent network, decent bandwidth for a price, decent hardisk quota (under condition that you can actually use it on oversold nodes) and also uptime isn’t so bad.
Totally agree. I got one for 1 year!!! (Yes, worst money waste ever) and I coulnd’t use it for a single day. I sent tickets every day and nothing changed. It worked better for 10-20 minutes and afterwards it was again impossible to use.
By the way, I also got harrased to pay my cancelled server (LOL) and threatened me about some lawsuit shit.

The second looks tempting, but why are the OS options years out of date? Ubuntu 10.10 was released a little under four years ago. We’re currently on 13.10

As long as you’re not seeding to the public, which is not allowed, then it should be OK.
They told me that I could use Torrent if it was legal. After 2 days they shutdown my server due to excesive usage of CPU/IO and told me that I couldnt use Torrent.

Yes at the moment you’re causing problems for other users (i.e. we receive complaints) then it’s a whole different story. There are clients using their VPS for private torrenting without any disturbance for other clients.

Please e-mail us your client e-mail address so we can check into the problem for you. No current problems are known here so I assume you’re talking about something that happened a year ago.
Also e-mail us your invoice # so we can check that as well. Probably you didn’t cancel your service properly, which caused a renewal invoice.

2. They actually modify the price on second year keeping only their discount unchanged.
They do auto renew your subscription on a higher price (25% higher on my case) and threaten you with their founds collector if you don’t pay while they are suspending your VPS.

I am a HostSlim/VpsSlim’s customer who reached 1 year of subscription..
I do not deny that their vps’ performance are sucks. But that was in the past..
Im not stopping paying for their vps because I think anyone deserve second chance.
Now I am happy with them.. All my vps had no downtime except Im rebooting it myself.
Their network are good and Im a man among those who torenting on their server.. No problem. No abuse warning..
Now, I am happy with their services and performance. Even their support are fast.
I have 3 vps with them and no problem until now..
Maybe all of you should start trying their vps and stop blaming them for their mistakes on the past.
OR, maybe I am the only one who got good vps and good suppport.

I’m one of those who bought an offer a year ago.
And I just added another year. Why/Experiences:
In the beginning it was hell and I thought more than once about leaving. But I was patient and it seems Ralph didn’t lie when he told me that they had some problems they were working hard to solve.
Meanwhile I had one of my dns and a (low volume) mail server running a year and except for the first month or so it worked so so. I wouldn’t consider VpsSlim high end but neither are they lousy.
At the end of last year I got seriously ill and couldn’t take care of anything. In fact I even “slept” over the end of my subscription. When I tried yesterday to contact both of my providers, VpsSlim and Prometeus I made another valuable experience.
Both had deactivated my vps but
– Ralph from VpsSlim made it easy for me to get my server back online. NO data loss at all! After a very short discussion he even agreed to let me have my good conditions and the good price.
Short version: Positive experience, good service, server up again in minutes, me happy.
– prometeus seem to not care shit about their customers. Both yesterday and today they dropped their pencils at around 16:30 sharp. All I could achieve was to at least be recognized as a customer and at least to get access to the client interface to place a new order.
Short version: Extremely negative experience, bad service (9-5 service is just not acceptable in 21st century internet), ALL DATA LOST
Don’t get me wrong, prometeus has nice servers, nice network, nicely humming along and fast. But I don’t need a provider shitting on me, leaving me alone, playing catch-me.
VpsSlim has exceptionally nice connectivity but the servers seem to have hiccups sometimes. But I could reach Ralph almost always and I usually got a constructive response very quickly.
In that business very every Joe with 10k$ can open a highly automated business, nice servers and nice connectivity are common place. For me the difference is in service and here VpsSlim clearly wins.
As I’m anyway just in a phase of looking at my IT/network stuff, I’ll have a closer look at VpsSlim performance and reliability. And I’ll report back.
But again, I won’t forget how quickly and without any discussions or stupid games Ralph got me setup again.

Getting an ipv6 address is an impossible task. The chat guy told me to open a ticket, the ticket guy told me to do it myself in the panel, but there is no option for me to do so. Ticket closed by ticket guy and that’s it.
Average response of the ssh session, slow on a good day, frustrating to use interactively on the other, that is: when the VPS was online.
Server is unreachable since 12 hours, Status Offline in control pannel, chat people are of line, Control Pannel slow as molasses IF it works at all. No email or any notification as to why. Reboot, Shutdown, Boot and reinstall do not help.
Besides some dodgy VPS services on a shoestring, I’ve not seen anything as bad as this [and I am a serial VPS renter. Got about 5 from different vendors at all times].
Paid for a year, so I am afraid this is going to be a long threat…
