LowEndBox - Cheap VPS, Hosting and Dedicated Server Deals

SecureBit: Quality Hosting in Switzerland (1GB/1Gbps Unmetered from $5.11/mo!)

I love a good logo.  The best ones are memorable, incorporate the company name, and cleverly brand their companies with the owner’s desired image.  Check out that cool Securebit logo!  It evokes precision and razor-sharp defenses, plus it’s S-shaped.  That’s a modern work of art.

Securebit is a Swiss company bringing us some nice offers in Zurich, across a wide range of offerings: VPS, dedi, shared, and even Microsoft Exchange and File Sharing (NextCloud).  They’ve been in business since 2018 and have quite a range servers beyond what’s featured here – game servers, colo, and dedicated servers and five different data centers (Zurich, Frankfort, Dusseldorf, London, and Fremont).

They include BGP with their offers – that’s nice, and they don’t meter bandwidth.  I’m sure they won’t let you max out 1gbps 24×7 so consider it a fair use/reasonable use deal, but it’s nice not to have to watch the meter.  Hosted NextCloud is an interesting offer, and I don’t know if we’ve ever had someone on LEB doing Exchange hosting.

Switzerland is one of the more expensive hosting locales (Switzerland is one of the most expensive countries in the world to live in) yet this offer is very competitive with other offers.  Add in all the cool extras and that fantastic logo and it looks like a winner!

SecureBit is a Swiss company (CHE-496.462.993) and their WHOIS is public.  You read their TOS and other legal docs on their web site.  They accept Bank, PayPal, Bitcoin, Alipay, and Credit Cards (via Paypal).

Here’s what they had to say, in their own words:

“Securebit provides virtual Servers, Colocation, Internet Resouces (ASN, IPv4, IPv6), startup and small business solutions in data centers in Europe (Zurich, Frankfurt, Dusseldorf, London and Fremont).  Our services are based on latest HPE and DELL servers, offering outstanding performance and reliability. We also operate our own fully redundant network across multiple data centers.  Securebit AG was founded in 2018 and has more than 14 years of experience in the field of networks, virtualization and internet services.

I would like to see good pricing for 2G models either. 1G is not too useful nowadays.
