Aim2Game Inc, of Ontario, Canada, were officially launched in March 2012 as a Minecraft Server Hosting provider. Recently they decided to launch a new division, A2GHosting.com, catering for the VPS market. At the time of posting this, their website front page seemed a little messed up in Safari. They’re using servers equipped with the E3-1270v2 CPU, 32GB Ram and a whopping 8x 240GB Intel 520 SSD’s with LSI-9260-8i in RAID10. All VPS’s are backed up onto a Backup server weekly. Devin linked us to some reviews, but obviously we cannot guarantee the authenticity. Do leave a review if you buy!

Aim2Game accept payment via Credit Card (Visa, Mastercard) and via Paypal. They offer a 100% money back within the first 48 hours – no strings attached. Servers will be setup instantly. IPv6 is not offered. We are told that this promotion is ongoing and will not expire. The coupon code works on all of their non LowEndBox priced servers as well. Additional IPv4 addresses are charged at $1 each per month. For more information, take a look at their Terms of Service.

    Up to my knowledge this is the largest pure SSD offer at the pricing.

    • It is OVZ though… but with 8 drives in RAID I’d guess it will provide some nice benchmarks…

    Awesome deal, <3 SSD, but….. I have some concerns.
    Do I want to put a production site on the same server as Minecraft kids? Won't CPU load always be high, and DDoS attacks more frequent than servers with no games being hosted?

        I spoke with their sales team, they do not operate their Minecraft network on these servers. Their Minecraft business utilizes TCAdmin which is a non-virtualized platform.

  10. Hello lowendbox.com!

    As a self-managed, low traffic web-server, $54/yr can’t be beat for a 50GB sp and 1TB bw VPS.. Instant setup. I’m laughing..

    Getting very bad packet loss every now and then, servers don’t seem to be that stable :/

      To be clear, only having packet loss along Telia route, but still annoying.

      • You’re lucky to get any telia at Buffalo, I mainly see Cogent or XO

          They have all three. But not so useful if it has packet loss :(

          Whole of Colocrossing Buffalo had packetloss tonight;

          RFO: An attack disproportionately impacted one of our 10ge links, filling it to capacity and causing some packet loss for legitimate traffic flowing over that link.

      UPDATE: haven’t gotten any problems since this, seems to be pretty stable. Was just annoying earlier because I’d just bought the server and it had packet loss.

    i was put off by the name but then figured i’d give this lot a shot for a problematic setup. our software hasn’t worked this well on an ovz provider before so i’m pleasantly surprised, the ssd makes a huge difference for some things. so far so good, worth giving them a try

    Hmmmm…. Curious if this would be a wise choice as a production server or not. Not a huge fan of the idea of it being shared with others using it for gaming…. any thoughts?

      Doesn’t seem like there’s much degradation, I think the VPS are on a separate dedicated server than other services offered by the company. And many VPS providers allow running game servers (most actually) as long as it doesn’t exceed the “fair share” ToS, so it’s not any different. Also they seem to actively monitor for abuse (like using more than fair share).

    So far very quick responses to tickets and also high uptime and CPU/disk quality. Invoices seem to only have one day to pay them though.
