Alex from BigFootServers recently wrote in to share their new product offering with us: SSD VPS Resource Pools! With these pools, they’re giving customers the ability to create VPS instances on-demand, in both Los Angeles and Dallas. We were told that as they continue to expand and add additional regions, existing customers will be able to get access to them within their resource pool at no additional charge.
BigFootServers has shared deals with the community before, but those were previously all powered by traditional HDD’s. We are excited to share their new SSD-based offers with you and hope you enjoy the increased performance that SSD has to offer!
Their WHOIS is public, and you can find their ToS/Legal Docs here. They accept PayPal, Alipay, Credit Cards and Bitcoin as payment methods.
Here’s what they had to say:
“BigFootServers was founded when we saw a need for a simpler solution for small businesses to get started online. Our service-first business model sets us apart from the rest. At BigFootServers, we treat you with the utmost respect that you deserve, as our valued customer. Thanks for posting this, seemed too good to be true
Hello,
Are we able to assign all the resources to one vps?
Thanks
(1) UPLINK is 1Gbps or only 100Mbps ?
(2) IPv6 free to add ?
(3) PTR/rDNS setup for MAIL-servers, done via support-ticket ? or can your vps-management-panel allows to set PTR/rDNS ? free ?
MAIL-servers need WHITELISTED IP-address & correct PTR/RDNS/return-value setup to send emails into INBOX or else sent emails are either totally REJECTED or placed into SPAM/TRASH folder.
(4) If your assigned (primary) IP is BLACKLISTED ( marked/shown by any one of the Blacklist Database Group/Company listed here: https://www.dnsbl.info/dnsbl-database-check.php ) then (3a) do you issue a new WHITELISTED IPv4 ? or (3b) do you communicate-with (submit BL-removal-form or email) EACH of the BLACKLIST-DATABASE group to remove each of the blacklisted IP ? or (3c) do you only allot/assign (Blacklisted)-IP-address AS-IS & you leave all related steps+decisions on the User/Client to either Stay-with you or Leave/cancel-account ?
by the way, you must set correct RDNS (with a user’s/client’s mail host name under user’s/client’s domain-name) for the IP-address, before sending any email-request into blacklist-database group (or before submit-form to request removal of IP-address from blacklist-database).
Just the IP’s costs more than the yearly price. How can you cover the other resources costs?
do you support Ubuntu 18?
Hello,
the service for falling
at every moment they do not give me stability in the service
the cheap is expensive
I do not recommend the service.
I’ll have to expand on Miguel’s post, for the last couple of weeks, my 4 X VPS pool has been failing, and the control panel fails to load, with the result in the service being practically unusable. Was stable up to a couple of weeks ago, now it’s been down more than up, the whole Bigfootservers site is slow, and the VPS cp just never loads and errors out, so you can’t reboot, redeploy, etc. Confirmed over 4 different, very disparate connections.
They were pretty rock solid up until this incident, but something seems to be going on they are not able to fix or figure out. Raised multiple tickets, with them telling me to “try now” and all instances are not even pingable when they are deemed “up”.
I started out singing their praises, but now, the jury has reconvened. Hopefully they get it sorted, because I love being able to spin up and redeploy new instances from a pool.
Buyer beware.
I ordered this vps $29 from China (your vps was blocked in China) with a VPN, and the payment is Alipay, and I also sent an email before my order and I received your reply that I am allowed to order the vps . But 2 days passed, you haven’t open my server now. I tried to send emails, I just received emails automatically. I can’t find anyone to talk about this. Hope to give me your servers quickly.
