Justin, from Server Mania, has provided us with access to their exclusive Black Friday promotion deals. Server Mania has been featured a few times before on Low End Box, and some readers may remember their November 2013 sale which brought us the first real 1GB KVM Windows VPS deal at $7, which sold out rapidly. Server Mania is a Resident Host here at Low End Box, and a registered Canadian company with offices near Toronto, where their staff provides customer service 24 hours a day. Reviews are generally quite positive, as Server Mania focuses on providing a quality experience to their customer base.
Today’s offer includes 3 different dedicated server options, the other two are E3-1240v2 and E3-1270v2 deals for $45/mo and $59/mo respectively. Read more to check those out.

Is it possible to upgrade the ram at order or at a later date? If so how much? Tks.
You’ll want to check directly with our sales team. This depends on the server. You may email sales@servermania.com
Good offer! I’ll take one! ;-)
Thank you for your business.
Server Mania shuts down your VM automatically every other day… for your “convenience” as they say
These are dedicated servers, not a VPS.
I disagree to eman’s comments above. I have a VPS from servermania for 3 years. not even once they have shut my server. I did have a complete total loss of data once which brings bad taste in my mouth.
But, they have the best support I have seen in lowend VPS market- response/resolution in less that 30 minutes ALWAYS!!
Thanks. We do strive to offer great support.
Just and warning: They charge a lot of hidden service and are not transparent about the service they provide. They won’t even let you know why are you being overcharged!
Could you please clarify a bit on the hidden costs? Where are you seeing these?
do you have ipv6?
We do not offer IPV6 at this time.
Figure I’ll give this a shot since my current host charges more for half the resources of this box. If I don’t like it I can switch back and get their special.
Sounds good! Let us know if you have any questions!
They also don’t have a software preinstalled. It jumps in price when adding Windows to the box. Was going to use this for a Game Server but the cost jumps to almost 100 dollars just to have windows on it. Still not a bad deal. Also sucks you cant change the location.
Typically most hosting companies do not pre-install software. Windows does carry an extra license cost. This promo is only for Buffalo, NY.
I just cancelled my box after two weeks. The network speeds are really bad. When upgrading with yum http traffic start at 2mb/sec but always drops to a few kb/sec. This happens with different servers.
Hi Peter,
Do you have a ticket number I can reference? This could just be a routing issue with the yum mirror you’re using. Have you tried another mirror?
Signed up with this company in November under this special. While the server runs fine and no issues with bandwidth it seems 100% impossible to get any kind of response from support unless you can get logged into the control panel. Something so simple as losing your login name and you are apparently screwed. I call the number and never once have I gotten anyone from support. Leave messages and no one ever calls back. Email them and no response at all. Tried contacting through social media accounts…nothing.
Strange considering they advertise 24/7 support but it’s almost as if support doesn’t even exist. One would think a decent system would at least allow someone to retrieve their user name…a very simple thing. It’s not possible at all and no one seems to care about answering the phone or responding at all but that bill sure shows up like clockwork. I’ve archived my site and looking for a new host because this is the most pi$$ poor example of a 24/7 support department I have ever seen.
