Crissic is a well-known and established provider around the LowEnd-scene these days. While Skylar did have a bumpy start in the past, he did get his act together and is enjoying success right now. He was fourth in our last Top Provider poll, which is some proof of his success. Having stuck to Jacksonville for quite some time, he branched out to Los Angeles recently. I have to admit: this is good business. First really establish a location and make it solid, then add another one. My compliments and congratulations! Crissic is a registered company as Crissic Solutions LLC in Missouri and is located in Springfield. Nodes are Dell-branded and have Dual X5650/X5660 CPUs, 96GB of RAM, and 12 hard drives. They operate their own network (AS62639) and own all their hardware. Reviews are mostly positive, but that doesn’t mean we don’t want to hear from you!

Is it possible to assign /64 IPv6 to the interface (the whole subnet, not the individual addresses)?

    “from $10/year for 512MB”
however the $10/year plan only gives 256MB of RAM.

They are really rough about their ToS and suspending servers without notice (like my case). However it’s a stable service.

True. There is no second chance and made me feel very dumb. When proof that VM was compromised as stated, there was no response to it.
Really wish you would be transparent Skylar.

      * They are registered
      * They own their IP range
      * They give truly good offers

The grouse that would keep me from them is the support.
I really felt ripped off Skylar.

I have the same bad experience. I emailed Skylar because the fraud system would not let me pay. He sent me an email with only 5 words in it back. With no help whatsoever. He didn’t offer a way to fix it. Then when I asked if he could help, he never responded back. How rude.

      • JSP,

I do apologize for any issues that may have arisen during your handling with regards to an abuse ticket. If you can reply to the ticket or open a new one under your account, I’d be happy to re-visit it and hopefully resolve in a manner that you find acceptable.

We did have some rocky abuse policies, but have since updated our policies and handling of these issues. This is an ongoing improvement that I hope will be much better and more transparent in the future.

Skylar – I’ve just had my server suspended for load abuse — I’m not sure what’s causing it, I’ve only got 4 wordpress sites, a pancake site (for billing) and owncloud. I’ve been trying for 12 hours to get someone via support to allow my site back up so that I can either fix it or get all my database / files off of it — but putting in support tickets, or calling the 417 number on your homepage has done nothing.

I’m now trying to find a way to open up contact with you so that at the very least I could have my server up to get my data off please.

This company close our reseller hosting account and remove all data. I have renew my shared reseller hosting account in Nov-2014 for 1 year, suddenly all website stops working, when I check with this company they says we have send mails that we are closing all our reseller hosting account, however I have not received any mails. Now they are not refunding the payment nor giving the databackup. This company is not trustworthy at all. Might be you buy vps one day and on second day they say we are closing vps services and not even refund your money

I’m pretty sure Crissic would use their billing system to send out the email to everyone using the select packages. I personally check my junk/spam folder as well as my trash folder every other week or so just to make sure I didn’t miss anything.

        January 16, 2015 @ 9:39 pm | Reply
    • Hello,

I do apologize for the issues with this! We did send an email out a few months ago detailing our closure of our Shared/Reseller services with an effective date of January 1st 2015. In this email we also detailed refund options for those still in a annual billng period that was made within the last few months. The email is showing under your account email history, so it is likely it hit your junk mail folder.

I have since replied to your ticket. I was in the process of moving cross-country and was unable to handle billing related issues during the move, so I do apologize for the delay in handling of your situation. If you are not satisfied with the handling of your ticket, please do let me know and I will make sure to improve this for the future. We have no intent of ripping off customers, or making their lives harder as a result of issues we cause.

I had a single network outage of less than 24 hours due to a Quadranet Crissic issue around November 1, 2014, otherwise the machine / network has been solid with no issue.

The cost vs performance / value has been great for me and my usage.

Well, I am been with “crissic” for more than a year.
Here is my honest reviews about them:
If you are looking for speedy, reliable and stable VPS, DO NOT buy from crissic.
If you are looking for friendly and quick support, DO NOT buy from crissic.
If you are looking for a bit of DDos protection, DO NOT buy from crissic.
If you are looking for a company with friendly staff, DO NOT buy from crissic.
The only plus point goes with crissic is, they offer cheap servers.
But trust me, not only the charges but their services and support are also cheap.

Suggestion: Looking for affordable VPS? Friendly and Quick Staff and Support?
    Go for:
    Ramnode.
    SecureDragon.
    NodeServ.
    VikingLayer.
    EvoBurst.
    GinerNet.
    BuyVM.

Trust me, you would not repent by going with my suggestions.
Otherwise, go for crissic and experience all the above-said by yourself.

@SFTP Hahaha what? I’ve been with them for about a year now. Do you even understand what their mission statement is? Did you even read the transparency page?
      https://crissic.net/transparency

They oversell nodes and balance resources because people don’t typically use too much by way of resources. I’ve seen IO and dl/ul speeds drop, but when I start doing an intensive task they jump up to approprate levels. For me, it’s been more than adequate as a seedox buffer, Rainloop webmail server, LEMP wordpress blog host, plus webmin + extras, and VPN. Sometimes even a qbittorrent-nox. And still my node idles at 300MB RAM used and <1% system load. I've run VNC server and web broswers, filezilla, openbox, and a full light desktop with no problems.

If your needs exceed a $15/year 100GB to $30/year 150GB box then find what works for you. But if you're trashing Crissic because you didn't read the documentation then maybe you should have read the facts beforehand.

Another host I've been with that is on par with Crissic's prices, but far better with the benchmarks is HostUS.
