LowEndBox - Cheap VPS, Hosting and Dedicated Server Deals

Evolucix - $6.95 1GB OpenVZ VPS in Dallas

Evolucix Avish from Evolucix has released a new special promo for the LowEndBox reader this week (actually it was last week he sent me the email). $6.95/month is the price, and here is the sign up link.

  • 1024MB guaranteed/1536MB burstable memory
  • 20GB storage
  • 500GB/month data transfer
  • OpenVZ/SolusVM

Servers with Tailor Made Servers in Dallas TX (test IP: 72.9.144.4), and the business itself is also based in Texas. Did the price of memory drop so much over the last 2 months? They offered 256MB plan for $5.95/month in April, and then 512MB plan for $6.95/month last month. Looks like they have just doubled everything from last month’s plan except the price has been kept the same. Overselling much? Otherwise, good reviews from last month’s posting + some good reviews on WHT. Domain has been registered since August 2010.

  1. Overselling? Probably just this promo, because their normal pricing is considerably higher.

    • We are not overselling. We are just trying to compete with everyone else by offering low pricing but still maintain excellent quality in the service and support categories.

Don’t flame me for being off topic. But my hostrail VPS is gone and http://www.hostrail.com/ is not working. Dead pool? As soon as I paid my first renewal they raised prices, so I cancelled yesterday, today even their site is not working. Now I have to find another VPS provider. Sigh. Its a good thing all my websites are on separate VPSes from separate providers with redundant copies.

    • 1. Why comment in this post about hostrail?
      2. Take a look at http://www.lowendbox.com/blog/hostrail-1-05-256mb-openvz-vps and you will see hostrail was disconnected for not paying bills.

    • I’m not sure if this is allowed or not; however, dd – you can open up a support ticket with us and I will see what pricing and specs I can provide you with.

My server is running off of 4x Xeon e5620’s(fairly old processors from 2007), 125MB/s disk access, full 100mbps speeds on the port.

I also think the server is running 32GB of ram, but I could be wrong.

    Sorry, 4x xeon e5420’s(NOT 5620’s)

  10. @wutwutwut – Yes you are correct. The node is running Dual Xeon 5420s with 32GB of ram.
