FlipperHost have been featured, on here, seven times in the past two years. They were last listed back in December 2012 when they offered the same plan, albeit a few cent cheaper. Apart from a few performance wobbles, reviews on that thread seemed to be good. According to their ticket, nodes are equipped with: either an e3-1230v2, e3-1270v2 or Dual e5520; 32 GB Ram and 4x 1TB Hard Drives in RAID 10. No coupon is needed to purchase at these prices and this offer will end once stock has run out. FlipperHost mentioned that they can install the Kloxo and Webmin control panels for free if you open a ticket asking or request it on live chat.

Their Texas and Los Angeles nodes are with Quadranet and Florida nodes are with HostDime. FlipperHost accept payments via PayPal and, recently added, 2CheckOut (all major credit cards can be accepted through 2CheckOut / Paypal). Whilst FlipperHost offer a 99.9% uptime guarantee, they don’t offer any money-back guarantees. We are informed, that all of their IP addresses are now “WhiteLabeled”. FlipperHost don’t allow Minecraft gameservers or torrents on their servers. Proxies/VPN are allowed, but for personal use only. For more information, I suggest you read their Terms of Service and their Acceptable Usage Policy.

  2. The Florida IP seems to have more routed. It at first goes to Level3 (Newark) > Level3 (Washington) > Level3 (Atlanta) > Level3 (Orlando) > Then at Core of Hostdime !!

  5. Hello all,

First of all we would like to thank the LEB admin and Zahra for their efforts on getting this posted. We really appreciate it as we see it a great opportunity to extend ourselves.

On the other hand the test files must have got corrupted somehow they will be accessable soon again.

Let me know if anyone has any questions or concerns.

    “FlipperHost don’t allow Minecraft gameservers”

What’s up with that? Is this a common thing? (Apologies, I’m quite new to VPS hosting)

    February 1, 2013 @ 7:11 pm | Reply
    • Minecraft gameservers are usually resource hungry and do not go with the fair share cpu usage then at some point eventually they cause high loads on the node.

Perhaps I just don’t understand how VPS’ work? Shouldn’t the virtual CPU that is created limit how much CPU time a VPS is allowed to use? If servers are being oversold so that they’d run out of resources if every VPS was using what was allocated to them, then what is even the point of a VPS?

Though perhaps this isn’t the place for such a discussion.

        February 2, 2013 @ 5:34 pm | Reply
        • Well this is not the right place but if you google the difference between virtualization types you will see why it is not so OK to put a regular vps at the same node with a gameserver.

      • How is your overselling policy ?? Is it 1:2 like for 1 GB Ram Guranteed Resource, you sell 2 GB ??

        February 2, 2013 @ 1:07 pm | Reply
        • We do not calculate by ram we go by server load in general. I do not believe any host would sell per ram power. Each node depending on type of vps users on that node will have a different amount of vps s eventually.

More over if you are an actual client of us and you can provide us a single unanswered ticket number of yours we can either refund you in FULL or give you 3 months of free services (you can choose to have whichever you like). We would also like to know the network issues you claim that we have so that we can fix if any seen by you.

Very solid performance, just get a 2nd one from Flipperhost today in LA and transferred all the data to this VPS.

Ceko is really a very nice guy, he gives very very fast response when compared to other providers. My VPS gets very solid performance, enjoy it.

In my understanding, customer service is much more important than “quality”. I don’t believe there are 100% online without any fault VPS, too good to be true. Everything could fail, the problem is, when there are problems, how to solve it? Google it won’t help you in time. I’m quite relived since Ceko is there, Mark is there and blah blah…

I’m hosting one personal blog,4 websites on the 2nd VPS, maybe will increase in the future.

BTW, till now still do not know is Ceko he or she? :-D

Recommend to others, worth a try.

Expecting your next promotion and would for sure grab a third.

    • Hello Dody,

If you feel your vps is slow please do open a ticket with us so that we can check the reason of slowness (assuming that you are an actual client). If you already did open a ticket before writing here and using LEN as your last resort please do let me know your ticket number.

    • Hello Dody,

I believe I have found your ticket thus I have reviewed it. Below is the response I have sent you at our own helpdesk though I am also pasting it below so that you will not miss it.

“I have seen the LEB comment and this is the ticket I believe. I see that although you were satisfied at first response you also had a second time complaint which seems the ticket was closed then. . That said we offer you your next month of service for completely free of any charges.

We apologize again for how your ticket have been mishandled.

I am escalating your ticket to a technician.

Meanwhile can you please paste us a traceroute result so that we can better detect if the issue is with the server or with your location.”

We are awaiting your traceroute results and also will be looking into the node itself though depending on your complaint reasoning we can always provide you a new vps at another location or / and at another node. (Free of any extra charges ofcourse)

      Warm Regards
