FtpIt - 4 anniversary offers including a $48/year 3GB OpenVZ in Buffalo and Los Angeles

Radoslav, from FtpIt, has sent in four OpenVZ offers to celebrate his anniversary with us! Two of these offers are in Buffalo, NY, and the other two are in Los Angeles, CA. FtpIt celebrated their one-year anniversary in January, so congratulations with that! Radoslav has been slowly building a stable business over the past year and it’s a good sign they are still here. Each of their servers are powered by the Intel Xeon E3-1240v2 CPU, 32GB Ram and 4 x 1TB SATA Hard Drives with LSI Hardware RAID10. They’re using 120 GB Intel 520 Series SSDs for their SSD offers and for caching.

MxToolbox.com is showing that your Test IP 172.245.209.182 is on 2 blacklists which isn’t surprising given the fact that ColoCrossing has an entire /15 (131,000 IPs) blacklisted by Spamhaus. Your test IP is on the following blacklists:

SORBS DUHL: blocks email from more than 12 million host servers known to disseminate spam, phishing attacks and other forms of malicious email. The list typically includes email servers suspected of sending or relaying spam, servers that have been hacked and hijacked, and those with Trojan infestations. In an attempt to provide preemptive protection, SORBS also lists servers with dynamically allocated IP addresses.

SEM BLACK: If you are on the Spam Eating Monkey Blacklist, there could be any number of issues that need to be addressed in your network: virus-generated spam, dynamic IP Addresses previously used by spammers or bulk mail sending that does not comply with the CAN-SPAM Act.

Looking up the 172.245.209.182 at SORBS.net shows that the entire /22 that test IP is located on is blacklisted by SORBS.

Question: is FTPIT an incorporated business, and if so, which state is it incorporated in?

Nice, how does it feel to be so unethical LEB Staff? You delete a comment that points out that the 172.245.209.182 test IP is on two blacklists and that asked if FTPIT is an incorporated business?

Really? what was in that message that could possibly have triggered your spam filter?

Nice try. I didn’t get caught in the spam filters. Both comments were visible for several minutes until they were hidden by someone. They were only “fished out” after I posted on VPSBoard about their removal.

We are aware of the spam ip issue.Currently working on it.We are in the process of registering as business in the state of ohio

If you’re not registered as a business yet, then you should amend your TOS to reflect who the legal entity is that the buyer is entering into a contract with when they agree to your TOS (a non-registered business is not a legal entity and therefore can’t enter into contracts). If the business is currently unregistered then the legal entity buyers are entering into a contract with would be the person who owns the company and that person’s name should be listed on the TOS (i.e. Person Name d/b/a FTPIT) until the business is registered.

      • DomainBop:

FTPIT said “This has been solved already”

So your idea of “solved” is that you changed the original blacklisted test IP in the offer 172.245.209.182 to a new test IP 192.210.150.2 (which is BitAccel’s test IP http://www.webhostingtalk.com/showthread.php?t=1335129)? The original test IP 172.245.209.182 is still blacklisted so it doesn’t look like you solved the problem of getting it removed from the blacklists (understandable since the IP is SWIPed to ChicagoVPS not you and it is up to them to exert the effort to have it removed).

        • FtpIt:

Not really.Do you know that BitAccel’s have moved out of CC already. Now CC has assigned us that ip range as replacement.

          • FtpIt:

As long as customers are getting clean ips, there is no need to make fuss over a test ip which is supposed to do speedtest of the network. For your kind note,CC still have clean IP ranges and I make sure I get clean ips from them.Anytime there is any issues,I get them cleaned up by DC or ask for replacement

Noticed the TOS say IRC servers and bots are prohibited. Does that include bouncers like ZNC as well?

  12. Hey,

can you answer the IRC question publicly? I would use it for an irsssi/screen combination. Also, I’m aware that IRC servers can be used for malicious purposes but would a low-key server with 1-2 private channels for <10 friends be allowed? You could throttle by # connections

They are under ddos from time to time. They have locked my account without warning. After them I started with http://lowendbox.com/blog/123systems-5month-2gb-openvz-and-30year-1gb-xen-in-multiple-locations/ and got the same ban. Normal site in russian with low cpu and memory usage. Looks like sanctions to russian webmasters for Crimea. :) Never go with them! Very unprofessional.
