“Servers are located with either ColoCrossing or ChicagoVPS in all locations.”

Both terrible networks, both bad connectivity. and both full of spammers.

Surely we can get better than this @Maarten ?

@DanielM: I’m not sure why you’re asking me for better than this. I’m featuring from offers that are available and I don’t judge those offers by which upstream DC or provider they use.

Looks like you spent a LOT of time writing the terms of service. You might want to spent more time on your service itself.

And this is just ridiculous :

NOTICE: IF YOUR ACCOUNT IS FOUND TO CONTAIN ILLEGAL ACTIVITY, ILLEGAL MP3 FILES, PIRATED SOFTWARE, HACKER PROGRAMS, WAREZ PROGRAMS, OR ANY OTHER ILLEGAL FILES, YOUR ACCOUNT WILL BE TERMINATED IMMEDIATELY, WITHOUT NOTICE, AND A $25.00 CANCELLATION FEE WILL APPLY. ADDITIONALLY, FtpIt WILL NOTIFY THE PROPER AUTHORITIES OF YOUR ACTIONS.

So if you find some pirated songs on a VPS, you’re seriously going to contact the authorities ?
Seems a little over the top, doesn’t it ?

The legality of what they can actually dig through comes into play.

I would say in a real-world situation, no action (not even suspending) would be taken unless the respected copyright owners came forward.

Aside from that, a host cannot know what copyrighted works a client has a license for without a complaint or a request for proof. One should never automatically assume the client is pirating something that they could possibly hold a license for.

This is the worst I’ve ever seen vps service providers.
Yesterday, I bought it here a vps 3$/month , I paid twice with my credit card and both fail to pay, then I use paypal to pay, it prompted the success of payment, but I waited for two hours, I still didn’t receive my login information. so I sent a ticket to tell them my paypal transfer ID, then I got my vps login information, but I found my vps is offline and can not Log in, I sent another ticket to their technical department, the results tell me that I did not pay for them.

It was the worst I have seen the service.

      • First thing
        1) we do not own 2checkout,if your card is being rejected ,you should contact bank
        2) paypal did not notify us about your payment via API.we created a ticket with them to know the reason
Paypal do not reply so fast,so we have to wait till their reply so we can bethere is no issue with the transaction.
That’s why your vps did not work when under review by us.Within that time you made two reviews already accusing us of worst provider without even using the vps. This is interesting

        • I don’t know you or Frank… but I needed to call bullshit on the second part of your response.

You do not need to wait for PayPal to tell you why the API didn’t notify you of the transaction to give the man his service. Is the transaction complete? Is the money in your PayPal account? Then move forward.

API calls don’t go through for a number of reasons… the POST response was interrupted by an internet connection failure on the client’s machine for instance.

What matters is if you have the money. Waiting to troubleshoot your API with PayPal is between you and PayPal and shouldn’t delay a customer whose already paid from getting their product.

          Thanks,
          Brian

            Hello
That has been fixed within 24 hours. Some transactions go under review if any hacked paypal. The same day we did receive notifications of dispute by someone whose paypal was hacked. You can call me over active as well. We were just confirming that.Anyway this Frank guy is happy now and I do not think there is need to fuse over this trivial issue

This provider has been super reliable for me, I have had 1 or 2 network issues throughout the last year and it was a DC issue so no complaints from me. Way more reliable than some of my other VPS hosts.

Same problem on your site. I end up with a 404:

      Forbidden
You don’t have permission to access /cart.php on this server.
Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

  14. Worked well so far. Had been hacked at some point and got our service suspended without any notice (due to malware on our server). But when we notified them, they fixed the issue within an hour.

  16. We have just added a Montreal location, which is currently hosting KVM servers, and will be adding in OpenVZ HDD and SSD servers soon.

We are also looking at adding in locations in Tampa, Florida, as well as in Atlanta, Georgia.

I had my account suspened for high CPU load issues (their warning email was in my spam folder).
I immediately mailed them and and got a reply after only 10 mins. The support guy (who turned out to be the owner) took two hours of his time and helped me out resolving the issue. Turns out, it was my fault because I set my VPN software to allow everyone to connect.
This was the most impressive experience I EVER had regarding customer support. Just…wow! I can only recommend them to anyone!

Server speed and Ping are great, btw ^^

I also would like to point out that FTPIT has been disappointing by service going down, server issues pretty often and being too technical to be of real assistance sometimes. Two months ago, they removed my vswap without telling me and said I should not have vswap… if they checked their records, they would see it was negotiated into my deal, prior to purchase.

I am very disappointed so far and if they think that extending the service would make things better, well extending the service only means I will have to deal with this “BS” longer..
